Hi, to all G502 users. I am considering this phone as a replacement for my K610 because of its high-speed internet. What do you say? Do you think it's worth it to change my phone for this one because right now, my k610 is still a nice phone for me and in fact this comment was made using my phone's browser

Personally I liked the thing.
-320x240 2" TFT LCD screen.
-Nicely visible even in bright sunlight from any possible angle.
-Camera is not attraction.
-Very glossy, (I spend hours to clean finger prints on it) but appears very rich.
-Keys are good, though too small but they are distinct since little hard press required.
-Video recording is good (320x240 res).
-EDGE/3G/HSDPA enabled for web connectivity.
-Expandable upto 4GB with M2.
-Not smart phone but smart enough to use as communication device.
-Good battery life
-Headphones need big ear holes to fit correctly. still they are good at quality.
-bit jerky in animation.
-Available for Rs. 7060/- in "THE MOBILE STORE" with 512MB Sony M2.

I have this phone, features are pretty much ok, I like it being simple and small. The only problem is opening up the back cover. It's taking me sometime to open the lid up. And i'm pissed with it, how can sony ericsson create something what won't even open up when you need the memory card or take out the battery or SIM. This phone was almost good enough but now it sucks!!!.

Looks:
*G502 looks attractive.
*Brilliant Hazel colour looks better than black. After all black is a common choice.
Performance:
*Video clarity is best in this price range. Video is encoded in QVGA with mp4 format which is awesome one.
*Camera Quality is very good and its highly decent compared to walkman phones.
*Music/Sound is good. With headset is awesome. Megabass is an added advantage.
*Media player is great and awesome. Its attractive and too good.
*Bluetooth transfer is more better compared to other mobiles.
*Since its a high speed 3G mobile fullfilling the internet people, it might be too good in that area. I havent tried browsing through this lovely mobile.(If i would have used browsing i would have explored more performance!!!!!)
*Keypad is little difficult to handle. But when its get used , then there will be no problem.
*Really features are more for this price range.
*Battery is OK. Stands upto 25 to 27 hours for normal usage such as 1 to 1.5 hrs call, 1.5 to 2 hrs of music.
Overall:
Great mobile!!!!!

harold allison, 25 Oct 2008lightweight phone - get the Hazel (color) of this phone - l... more"you can't use your tones/MP3 files as message alert tones"
That sounds bizarre because almost all of my SE phones can use MP3 files as message alert tones and considering too that this is a mid phone device, it should be able to do it so.

This is only mobile which can fit in my budget and requirement.
If only Symbian and Camera is kept as exception it's good against Nokia 5320.
I got this thing for INR 7060.00 from "The Mobile Store" at Link Road, Malad (W), Mumbai.
Common problem again about Sony Ericsson, expansion with Memory Stick Micro M2.

lightweight phone - get the Hazel (color) of this phone - looks much better than the black one
no problem with the direction button/D pad (however you call it)
no data cable or M2 memory stick with the original package, just the phone itself, charger, battery, headset
you can't use your tones/MP3 files as message alert tones but you can use them as ringing tones
screen/LCD color & quality superb for this price range
camera is ok (2MP), no auto-focus but ok, there's a night mode setting to illuminate dim-lit areas/settings
sound/music quality is ok, pretty loud compared to the K series (e.g. K800 and K770)

no problem texting/SMS typing on this phone
if you're used to the SE keypad - you'll be fine, not much difference from K800i or K750i in terms of keypad
no flash for the camera but there's a night mode and it kind of illuminates a dark area/view
