i am sorry dont know about 3g.
i think, you can use 3g if you use bsnl sim card. Because bsnl is the only 3g provider in india.

1) Can any one tell me that Sony Ericsson Naite got 3.5mm audio jack? I think I should buy it if it's enable 3.5mm audio jack. Please guys reply,it's urgent...
2) Can I use Sony Ericsson Naite 3G in India? B'coz specification page show that American version but first line I can't understand b'coz I'm beginner 4 3G.

LakshmiNarayanan, 24 Oct 2010Hi ppl, i wanna get a new phone. i am confused between Son... more c5 is a smart symbian phone so that you can minimise all application and you can install more apps . where as naite is not a smart phone and only java application can be minimized. camera of c5 is better than naite with flash. display of naite is better than c5 . also naite is more user friendly than c5. the problem with c5 is it may restart or crash or may be affected by virus. but naite is more durable .sound quality is better in naite. if you want to go for Sony Ericsson only you can also consider cedar because it comes with 3.5 mm audio jack so that you can use your favorite headphones. if you want better internet and free gps you can go For c5 but screen is too bad to enjoy them. so decide according to your requirement. i will recommend naite for everyday use. i will recommend c5 for more internet users and for more multi tasking. i think this suggestions will help you and all who are in confusion of choosing these phones.

I have it for like 2 and a half weeks and i like it very much.
I do a lot of photos so i can say that the camera {on daylight} is very good.

... morewell u can have in 3g as preferred network but there is a drawback in bsnl 3g i.e weak signal(poor infrastructure) network of bsnl 3g causes naite to switch to 2G or GSM mode.
My suggestion is wait for Airtel or Docomo 3g service which is gonna be launched in the coming days. I personally had bsnl 3g for a couple of months and it was a really awful experience. 3g has tremendous potential but bsnl has been wasting such a gud oppurtunity.

i wanna get a new phone. i am confused between Sony ericsson vs nokia C5. which is a better phone. n from the specs of naite i learn that it does not have docu,ent reader pre-installed like C5, but is it possible to download application software and install in naite for reading documents like MS word, PDF n PPTs. Hoping to get a quick response. Thanks in anticipation

This is one fantastic rugged phone.
Sounds weird?
But it's true. It looks very delicate, but is one hell of a rugged phone. I smashed it on the floor after a terrible fight. The chassis has bent a little (Can post the pics if required). I thought the display might've broken, but was in perfect condition.
Put back the SIM and battery back and it works as though nothing had happened.
My friends Naite was forgotten in pants and was soaked in water for about half an hour. Removed it out and dried it completely. The phone refused to start, took it to the SE center. They too said that the phone has gone dead. But, I don't know what made my friend keep it with her still, after few days she tried again, and voila it started again! But, now the battery runs out of gas in couple of hours and the memory card got corrupt.
Make no mistakes, the Naite is a very competent mechanical package. Might be low on the specs compared to its competing peers, but all thats present on this truly work with bullet proof reliability.
The only thing I really miss on this is the LEDs which was a standard affair in the SEs ferw years back.

Hi all i bought a new BSNL 3g sim yesterday for my sony ericsson naite.But when i send a SMS to 58355 I get a format error messgae.When i searched some forums i saw that they said no one has settings for Naite.Is it true if not plz provide me the settings here.When i asked the customer care they said my sim is not activated if its not activated then how can i recieve or make calls. Can anyone give me BSNL 3g activation settings For Mobile broadband,TV ,video callings,MMS,etc .
Plz i really need it

Very nice phone with excellent & user-friendly features. Very nice audio-visual device. Theme-creator feature & PC Suite feature(both downloaded from the net)are very attractive. But during conversation, the earpiece volume is too low, so the phone is difficult to use in noisy places.
