how to get free good games for K500?

I have been using this phone for the last 11 months and its not given me any problem which is unusual. The camera is great(u can actually extended u pixel resolution to 1280 by 960 for better quality with more memory of course). If u take pictures at this resolution @ pictures takes about 65kb. The video is ok too, i have several clips of the river nile during my visit to Uganda and they are great. The Mp3's are great in sound quality. I downloaded several from SE website. The small memory is a con though. The messaging is great and you can multi task. At times i will let my mp3's play as i text, play a game or view a slide show of my photos!At a price of about $200 when i bought it this phone beats its competitors. Those complaining about the joystick shouldnt disqualify this phone for that minor problem. I encountered some problems and solved them as follows;
-If the phone is unable to open a java application especially the games, press and hold the return key and exit, then turn off the phone and restart it. Once you do this the games will run ok. This i realized was occuring after several times of charging, about every 3-4 times. You can avoid freezing during a game by switching the phone off after several times of charging.
-If the pictures in your folders are not appearing, instead a graphic is appearing (occurs after a long time viewing the pictures or after charging). Just close all the programs and shut the phone off and restart. Immediately your pictures will appear.

The video files that u r sendind via IRDA are not 3gp of mp4 that is y they goto "Others" folder.As K500i only support 3gp & mp4 video files so try to send these files i m sure that they will open.

This phone is brilliant.. cute and gorjus! It's extremely good at every feature it has.. esp the pin protected memo, it's such a clever lil thing! The phone is definitly impressive.. and with it's inra red being able to transfer data... and not to forget the cable, it's has just evrything you cld want in a phone! the features are really good and the games are of fantasttic quality. the phone is easy to use and simple in design and especially to hold! Like all sony erricson the back of the phone shows quality thru the design. the phone in general is defintly a phone worth having!

Just got a K500i and have question about transferring files (video/mp3) from PC to the phone using infra red port. I have infra red adapter but the video was transferred to the "Other" folder and I cannot view the video on the phone. I don't know where to put the video and/or mp3 so I can use them on the phone.
Please tell me what you do to transfer files to the phone. Which software to use? How to specify the destination folder, etc???

i have some problem in k508i regarding its phone book,when i want to reach sharjeel and i want to press "h" after "s" it directly goes to shujaat, can any one let me know how i change it in to standard form.

If you are comfortable enough with yourself not to need 'the latest this' or 'new that' like the majority of muppets in this world, this phone should do the trick. Bar the lack of bluetooth, this phone serves me well. Easy menu, easy mp3 ringtones, easy texts. I can talk to people, text them and film them, and it only cost me 35 quid. Winner!

Definitely value for my money. I love my mp3 ringtones. It's also amazing to hear U2's Bono belting out 'In the Name of Love!' as my early morning alarm. The sound is excellent and not canned & transistor radio-sounding like other famous mobile phones.

I've always been a fan of sony ericsson, my last one was T-100. And then wifey dove into her pocket to buy me this excellent instrument K508i. It was love at first sight I think (both for the wife and the phone). Great value for money. And with IR you can download what u want from ur pc or other phones. Had a little problem with the joystick. But solution on this forum, set that right too. Hey PHONEMASTER SE ought to give you a load of money. thank a ton for the tip it really works. (Another trick, blow hard into the joystick area, mind the spittle though, it works at times).
Great Features, Good Sound, Cam quality is surprisingly good only in the day though and a Fabuluous Value for Money. If you're on a budget GO FOR IT ! You can never find anything better.

hey u all whining about ur joystick. i have the solution to ur problem. its sipmle. hold the joystick down with ur thumb and keep rotating it in circles for about 2 minutes. ur prob will be solved

Well what can I say, basically if you want to waste some money and have to buy a new phone same time next year then you should get any of the SE phones with a joystick. I wouldn't be too annoyed if it could be fixed but this is a shocking problem which makes the phone almost totally useless. I've had mine for about a year and then joystick isnt working at all anymore and I wont be getting another SE. Of all the people Ive talked to with the same phone or similar (K500's and 700) all of them are having problems with their joysticks and 2 of them have already got new phones due to that fact alone. Now I don't want to be a total bastard but SE DOES NOT replace joysticks and this is absolute BS. I do not recommend this phone... PURELY due to the joystick!

K500 is a great cellphone, very good camera, MP3 ringtone, multi tasking and TFT, this is good phone which low prices. My vote is 99.

i got this phone last christmas and i loved it to bits but unfortunately it fell down the toilet in the summer and i miss it so much its a great phone and i would reccomend it to anyone
