Have had this phone for over 9 months now. It worked fine, until I installed a 512kB memory card. Then it started to shut down all by itself occasionally, which is such a turn off (if you excuse the pun). I should, nevertheless, say, that I just LOVE the design and how it feels in your palm. Besides, the battery is excellent. Lasts very long - compare it to e.g. Nokia 6300, the all around favorite, and you will notice the HUGE difference. Great phone overall.

i have a K610i for 5 months and i shut it down and changed the simcard, when i was trying to start it up again , it didnt start , it was jst flashing red light from above. tht is it.
i tried a new battery, didnt work (the battery tried on another phone, it was ok)
so the problem not from the battery .
i tried to start it while its connected to the charger , didnt work out.
i took it to some professionals they re-installed the software on it, didnt work out.
if any of you have an idea on what the problem would be .. please email me.
i really like this phone :(

I have had one for a year now, my first SE. It worked fine for a long time then one of the soft keys failed. It would either not work at all or activate unexpectedly and repeatedly. This has caused a huge problem as i now can't use the phone or transfer my phone book as i need to use this key! Otherwise it's a good phone.

been having this phone for 9 mths already. i wld say i'm quite satisfied with this phone. i did experienced the phone shutting itself down occasionally, in fact the number of times shutting off by itself has reduced. it has never ever shuts itself whenever i'm on the phone but usually when i accidentally put the phone on the table hard. the phone is still functioning well even if i throw it into my bag or dropped it. this phone can support 1 gb m2 well, in fact, 1 gb is insufficient for me as i double the phone as a mp3 player too and i had to get a 2gb m2. this phone has no prob supporting it as well!! i admit that the phone does lags at times, but this indicates that i've over stress my phone. all i need to do is do some clean up of the few hundreds sms and that's it. overall, a worth buying phone and it's a good buy.

this is a great phone for around £100, great sound quality and high volume levels too. it is easy to use and has quick bluetooth. with 1gb card it is an ideal sub £150 phone. only it could do with a flash and a 3 meg camera. this would seriously increase the price though. love it

Its probable santelemo that your mobile is not the original one, it happens at times. Ive been using it for more than 6 months now and no complaints!! truly sony ericsson rocks!!!

Just wanna ask how well this phone could contain a 1GB mem card. Meaning, did it perform well with it? Or should I just get mem card with lower capacity?

guys, do you hav any idea how to make the message alert tone longer? i've set an mp3 song to be my message alert, after 5 seconds or so it gets cut. in nokia phones they play the whole song when set as an message alert. please help!

mine also shuts off by itself a lot off times! worse to come, SE actually changed an second new identical phone for me and the same problem occurs~!

hey.im having this model for 7 months already and then it just shuts off by itself, what's the problem? if i'll buy a new one, do you have any recomendations? this really sucks! hate it when it shuts off then it takes a very long time for it to send messages, any tips on how to cure this thing? rar!

santelmo, same prob with my k610i too, just had it for less than two months and it shuts down by itself! why does it do that? and i've heard horror stories of WSOD (White screen of death) of SE fones, especially the w550 (it was my bro's fon, he had it replaced already), i just hope k610i wouldn't crash like that...but besides that and the very slow camera, it's an ok fone.. lamar that usually indicates water damage , or battery malfunction . iv had this phone for about 8 months and have had no trouble , love the phone . sonys rock imotbh

I've had this model for half a year now and i liked it, but it keeps shutting off by itself once in a while and just this afternoon my k610i started malfunctioning! it keeps doing stuff like going in and out of the settings, messaging, file manager, etc. like it has a virus of some sort...info messages keeps popping out even if i press ok or cancel. and now my right select button (the one w/ cancel button) wont work. i tried the master reset, removing the battery, sim and memory card but still, my phone acts the same way...any advice? i plan to bring my k610i to a sony ericsson repair center tom....hopefully it's nothing serious.
