I'm using the K610 for 1 week so far is OK but i'm have a feedback from my friends that i was talk to. When i'm at some area back ground is loud like restaurants. My friend will hear my back ground noice are extremely loud. Is anyone have the same problem and is there anyway i can fix it?
P.S: I have 2 friends are using the same phone now they all have the same problem so i know is not only apply on my phone.

I Like it!
But the themes in the red k610 are for females!
/it is fast
and reliable!!!!
Most Important thing is SIZE!!!!

this is a great phone. esp as i got it free (free 12 month line rental after cashback) lighter than my w550 and great features. as usual with SE phones packed with features that never fail (unlike moto and samsung) syncs with outlook easily. go to wap.esato.com for free downloads. the sound on the speakers is better than my w550 (although marketed as a walkman phone) only downside is the cost of m2 cards more than sd cards. well u got to pay for quality. bluetooth works great with handsfree and pc like transfering files sync etc.

@ijMm: the trick is this thing doesn't have a joystick, instead it uses a d-pad. the center key is for confirmation/menu. the whole keyboard has a very good feel, key travel is somewhere in the mid-range with a nice click when you press them all the way. the d-pad is very useable from my point of view, even for a guy like me who has really big hands and strong fingers. if you need any more help pls send me an e-mail.
all together i'd have to say this is a very very decent mobile. what i hold against it: you have to remove the battery cover in order to access the m2 card, the camera doesn't have a protective lid, and unfortunately no photo-led. *sniff*
everything else is top-notch if you ask me.
oh yes and i love the display, it is a 'mere' 176x220 pixels and 256k colors but the raster is very dense and it's nice and readable even during stronger daylight.

ginger, you can go to the sony ericsson wap site for free downloads. They have a lot of choices of themes, games, tones. Better if you register thru pc first via internet, its faster.
You can download directly to your phone using wap. Good luck!

brian, I'm using my k610 as a modem right now connected to my acer laptop thru USB. Had you already installed all the software before connecting your phone? There are a lot of drivers necessary for this but they're all in the included software cd.
To connect to the internet, get settings from your provider and follow the steps in the PC suite thru the mobile networking wizard. Good luck!

I agree that there is few disadvantages for this phone:No Radio, Photo quality not that good. How nice if siementech could add this radio function

about 610i it is an ossem fone bcoz i pearsonaly used this fone n there r many features which will help for your needs n make 's u crazy 4it this is a 1stgood think launged by sr k

im thinking of getting th k600im and i was just wondering IS THERE ANY JOYSTICK PROBLEMS WITH THIS PHONE???????????i have a k700i and i love it to bits but the joystick is soo annoying!if SE reproduced this phone with a proper joystick they would be on to a winner

most of sonyerricsons phone screen sizes are 176+220 Nokia 6230i"s is bigger its screen size is 208+208 Nokia is best then forget camera in this is not that good anyway

hi guys! has anyone of you seen the options go like F4:#### and the words are jumbled sometimes.. im really annoyed with it.. and also, when i tried connect it to my pc using a usb, it said no device found! pls help.. thanks

I wanted a 3G phone and ended up with this and the nokia 6233 as the final choices (mainly due to pricing). Since size is very very important to me, I chose this.
So far, I'm really happy with the phone's ergonomics, interface, lots of free downloads, connectivity options (I use it as a modem with my Palm Tungsten T5). It has a lot of growth potential because of the expandable memory as well. Loving the 3G speed, there's really a difference when surfing.
The menu and messaging system is different, not as simple or direct as nokia or samsung but not difficult to adjust to. Compared to other manufacturers which basically have just one particular way of doing things, SE lets you experiment with the best way by offering you a lot of different methods. Again, different approach but something you'll appreciate once you know you have the choice.

This phone is small and light which is great. It lights up and sure looks pretty but there are some small features which are not good about it.
1) No radio
2) When you receive a msg it doesn't show u the contact picture saying "message received" etc. Instead it displays it under a tab-like display saying "new event".
3) Doesn't show contact picture when you ring them or they ring you
4) NO FLASH!!!
5) Picture quality isn't that great
Everything else is sweet as!
