Got this phone at my job the other day.
Very sleek, good features
and a nice display. I was surprised how
easily this device communicated
with a customer's new macbook.
Considering the pre-installed themes
and size of fonts,
this phone seems to be aimed at
near-sighted female business users?
Still, bad move from SE not promoting
the red version, as design-wise
this phone doesn't
really stand out among the 50 other
phones featured in the store display.

I agree with Simon,I think this phone will be best seller if it has autofocus, flash (I hope SE remember that this is K series)and radio. That's the standard basic from K600/608.
So if people want HP with 3G, they buy K610, if they don't want 3G they can take K750i.
I hope that someone from SE regularly read the forum from users, so I hope they hear all the critic and they use a good advise.

sadly a step back for sony ericsson,it seems that they leave some features off one phone bring out a newer version and leave off good features from the 1st phone,a 2mp camera is better as is a memory card slot but no radio and flash ect is poor as some of their basic models have radios ect.

If SE give more features like radioFM stereo,flash en autofocus, I'm sure that this model can be bestseller in the market.The model is simple but beautiful.

Just off the phone with o2 looking the k800 but as they were asking to much for it the guy suggested this handset so they must have it in stock.

Recieved the k610i in to the shop I work in yesterday and gave it a thorough test all day. So a quick review...
Bad points:
Camera is good at 2mp but it only supports a 2.5x zoom when in VGA mode. It doesn't have a flash. It will be destroyed by its bigger brother the k800i when that comes in to stock next week.
Good Points:
The camera is good, even if you can't zoom. Night mode is fairly good. The phone is very loud and has good quality rear speaker. Menu system is clear and concise. The new direction pad replaces the traditional joystick, much nicer! My Friends group is cool. light and compact. Stylish in Urban Grey.

Conclusion:
Does the job and will be promoted on the network I work for as an affordable performance phone. A few restrictions shouldn't detract from the excellent and quality package the phone offers. However, hardcore phone junkies (lol) should wait for the k800.

available in hi-mobile or plemix now...but pretty pricy now I guess because it's new release

I phoned o2 who said it should be available later today. However they are only stocking the red version (and I wanted the silver one). Looks like I'll be waiting for the K800.
