i experienced that on my k850i last month and now its working. no need for you to go any service centers...

Devin, 22 Feb 2009Yeah Im using a 2gb Micro SD card instead of the 512 m2 tha... moretried a microSD 1GB. only a bit faster. will try friends' larger SD cards, then see if i should buy one. thanks.

Whether you use M2 or MicroSD it lags, but the lag is livable. I had this phone for 7 months now and the only problem I have is the service center here in the Philippines. I have a problem with speaker output, took it to the service center, they made me come back after a day. The next day they said everything should be okay and they had to charge me for parts. I tested and the problem is still there (no sound from speakers). I don't think they tested the fix, they just assumed that the problem is with the speaker, replaced it, and assumed it's already fixed. Crappy service.

nick, 21 Feb 2009do micro SD cards have a quicker transfer rate than M2 card... moreMicroSD and MicroSDHC work better in K850, I had a 4GB M2 in it before and it did LAG, Now iv just bought a 8GB MicroSDHC and it works alot faster!!

Tsepz, 20 Feb 2009Is your K850 branded?By 'branded', do u mean dat my fone's locked wit 3 or Vodofone etc.? If yes, then my fone's not branded. It's an unlocked fone. I bought it in one country and m currently using it in another country. Every time I try to upgrade, it says "ur fone has the latest firmware." What shud I do?

do micro SD cards have a quicker transfer rate than M2 cards then?
im aware the high capacity cards are also quicker than the ones, well which arent 'high capacity'.

The phone lags when you are trying to select contact from phonebook to send your typed message. It also lags normally when you are in contact and trying to locate a name. This has nothing to do with memory card. Its how the phone is made. Its also like that in k800 though here its not as slow. I think it has to do with the phone interface. Funny i never gave it a thought till you mention it.

Had a 512mb and 1GB M2 in my K850, and ye it did lag with both, especialy when refreshing the Media Player, now i have a 2GB MicroSD in me K850 and its a lot faster.

Devin, 17 Feb 2009Quick question. I'm using a micro sd memory card from a pre... moreYes, you can erase it. The reason why u r facing such problem is because the memory card is locked. What u should do is remove the memory card from K850i then place it in the memory adapter which u received when u purchased along with the memory card and unlock it. There's a tiny slide switch for every memory card adapter which shows a lock sign with a arrow.. And then insert in the K850i. It will work.
