@skv and all. I have used this phone for about a month now. Coming from a nokia 7610 to a SE W800 to a N95 to a tilt and now K850i, I find the K850i for what I need a better phone. For one the camera blows away the competition. Yes, the camera takes a little to get used to but when used right it's far superior. It has macro mode but not sure on how close one can get. Yes to upload and keeping pics and yes to photobuckets, also quick send to emails. The battery life is great, charge once every other day and i use it alot. The call quality blows away my previous phones i mentioned at begining except for the W800 (much the same :). I use voice dial on a daily basis and finally the k850i works like one should. The N95 sucked at voice dialing as well as the tilt, every time I would say a name it would say another name. And this was in a dead silent room. The web brousing is awesome and quick, though not as extensive as my previous phones but plenty enough for what I need. As for the texting with the raised buttons works great for me and the touch screen sensor buttons work well but take some getting used to but I like them. Multi media awesome, music sound awesome. This phone is fun to use, I find Nokia's always to be boring and I used the 7610 and the N95 so I know. The tilt was fun to use but to expensive to use for AT&T. This phone is an all around great phone for everyday users and in my opinion blows away the competition. I hope this is usefull and answers questions/concerns. Thanx, eddie

2 questions: is there any shape or form of MACRO mode and if so how close can it shoot. Can you upload pix to say, photobucket with GPRS?

And how's battery life? How many days can it go on 1 charge? etc etc.

      Yes I am the referee

      @Sniper
There's no shooting.. You have to be inside the arena with your SE t-shirt no weapons allowed

What's the point in arguing what camera is better.. No one is going to agree on anything anyway. If you care about photos so much buy a camera and get Photoshop and it won't matter what camera is better. There's no need to run around teh interwebz flashing your e-peens.

my comments about the lens being the same as the only in the k750 is not a lie.

also those photos are real. that comparison is seen on many websites.

even if the k850 was terrible none of you would admit it. oh wait it is

                  @ nick

The good: Dedicated camera controls; microSD and Memory Stick Micro compatibility; Xenon flash and LED light; Bluetooth stereo; HSDPA connectivity.

The bad: Glossy surface attracts fingerprints; tiny buttons may not appeal to some.

The bottom line: The K850i Cyber-shot is one of the best camera-phones available in the market right now, thanks to its dedicated controls, good performance and natural-looking images.

Allan, that website was a FAKE, they probably were from standalone digital cameras.

and besides its not even a website, the link nick gave was a Forum

That internet site nick gave a link for, makes it so obvious, k850 pictures are dull compared to the n95 !

Sony Ericsson use EXPENSIVE hardware, which is the best..............

Cyber-Shot and Carl Zeiss are practically the same anyway!

                              there both expensive

The reason why Sony Ericsson tends to be leader in camera mobile department

"We are more than happy with the fast processing of the images which is a definite plus when shooting at such high resolution. So in conclusion - great job with the camera from Sony Ericsson, they deserve our sincere compliments"
These above comment is from GSM arena on K800(best 3 megapixel camera phone in the world).
So all the SE camera phones k790/k800/k810/k850 deserve's the royality as a best camera phone around.

                                  old is still the best.

when k850 decide to stop using the same lens as in the k750, maybe we'll reconsider the camera fight!

                                  cheap hardware cannot be excused.

Dani, 31 May 2008@ will i wouldnt think thats true... SE make the most... more@dani

i'm serious. i'm not trying to say nokia is better than sony or anything. this is supposed to be sony's flagship model for their cybershot mobile phone. i feel like they didn't field test it thorough.
i did notice that if i do not use wallpaper and screensaver that the time between the reboot/theme change was longer. but it still did it.
i use the email auto dl for 5 minute intervals.i was thinking it was that but i never had a problem with my k550i.
i posted my problem in hofo and there seems to be others with the same problem.
the only thing i can surmize is that sony decided to load the phone with alot graphics and visual bling WITHOUT upgrading the hardware to handle the bigger load. i think they went cheap.
yes my other sony's were rock solid so this seems so strange. we'll see when i get my phone back from repairs. i think the biggest problem i feel is that i spent alot on the phone so i expect better or at least equal to the cheaper models.
i really want to stick with sony because i believe they have the best UI

erm my n95 battery is absolutely fine. i would now regard it as "average". when i first bought it, it was "poor".

so its defintely got alot better.

btw just to reinstate my point of view.

the n95 is more natural, the k850 is unnaturally dull.
