    true dat Dani.
    but i can't afford the N95 8GB... or the N95 for that matter. i'm thinking Nokia 6500 Slide. nice phone for nice price. (not sold here of course)

    even though i'm 4 eva loyal to SE, an unbiased view on all brands would do even better.
    i think i should lay off SE for a while... at least until their stuff become more affordable here in Guyana.

      @Dani

      I'm not forcing you to change your mind but search for
      http://www.phonearena.com
      first before anything else. I can't believe the Samsung G600 is better than G800. N82 wins on top. K850 wins over N95. But if you've decided to change phone - try N82, but they've also got bugs like K850 firmware 1.

      @chrone

      He's a filipino alright, let's just leave him alone, the more we talk back the more he snores. As of now there are two of us persistent SE users from the Phil.

      @Junk

      whatever

      @Rakib, or Matt

      I'm not striking him (Rakib) I just said he changed name.

          Hi,
          I have a new k850i, and it's almost perfect (a bite slow, the touchpad should be extended on the side of the screen for scrolling). But it's a full options phone nothing more to expect for me.
          I'm still facing a major problem for a mobile phone: I can't make outgoing calls...
          I believe it's coming from the network, as I'm using it in China. Is there anyone who have already faced this problem with SE phone???
          Tanks for your reply.

                @rakib
                since ur a so called nokia fanboy so i wont comment or get mad or even mind at any of your insults to me, hey thats what fanboys
                do dont they...

                just 1 thing, I dont think my comments are a typical BASHING kind...I even admit that the N82's camera is better tha k850, so u call that bashing, get real...

                @junky
                correction, not most functions but just some, maybe copying is not a appropirate word, so maybe i'll just change it, i'm talking bout the auto rotate function whatsoever, but it can be understood since N82's release sole purpose is to defeat earlier released k850, so it must have all the functions k850 have, including those it doesn't have, am I right here?
                what i'm tryng to say is, maybe if SE didn't release k850 before N82, nokia would include auto rotate or even xenon flash on it (like they do with N95), just a big maybe...

                for the daylight camera, its just my opinion, everyone can have their own opinion, but for me, the detail for the daylight environment (after some correct setting of corz) is better than N82

                for the diplay, i really disappointed at N82's 16M colors coz it looked a little bit washed out, unlike the N95 8GB display (GSMArena said that to so it's not just me) compared to the more detailed and sharp display of the 256k k850 (once again, i had them both so i've compared it side by side)

                for the price, hey, US$150 is a big difference here in my country, it can be used to buy another phone, so honestly, most people here choose k850 instead of the two nokias, why, becoz its cheaper n look cooler (here, looks n proce comes first, than the features)..except for those with enough money of corz

                so what i'm trying to say, if u want an stylish, economic all in one camera phone with fine functions, get a k850..but if u have more to give, want an all in one smartphone and wont mind the design n look, get the two nokias

                thats all from me
                cherio...

                  M@T2 is not a newbie here, you just named yourself Rakib, but you named yourself Matt alot of times before.

                  Whatever you say won't make us change our mind about converting from SE to Nokia

                  Even N82 suffer from problems like 3.5mm jack causing reboot.
                  So why the fuzz?

                      @X,
                      yap nice review.
                      At first let me admit that i am big dieheard NOKIA fan.
                      I got one question for you.Which function of N82 is copied from k850?
                      If you say xenon flash,than let me clear the fact that sony did not invented xenon flash.
                      You said you aint here to bash any other brand or any other phone but look apperently you did screwe up and end up bashing NOKIA and their 2 flagship phones.You just ended up being a typical se fanboy.
                      You said daylight pics are better detailed in k850.Thats not true either.
                      Are you questioning the capability of Gsmarena reviewers?
                      @Junkyskunky,
                      there is no one that can denie the facts that you said and nobody can get up to the challange that you made.
                      @Dani,
                      if SE phones can entertain you then NOKIAs can do it in a better way and in better quality.
                      And one more thing i am a NOKIA fan boy.
                      NOKIA ROCKS.

                        well said X!
                        now that's what im talkin' about. and i respect u too for bringin some light into this dark little alley everyone's claiming a forum.
                        im gonna be staying away from my SE bashin for now and just focus on tha cards you laid on our table here....
                        1.CAMERA
                        >ain't no way k850i is gonna be better than n82 in all light condition. one, color rendering is bland. not about overexposure or ISO settings, but the color appears saturated on gray and red areas - visible during lowlight condition, even its xenon flash fails to fix this.not so with other cyber series
                        >slow motion effect on a moving subject, shadowing and ghostlike appearance of subject as you move the unit when trying to capture moving subjects. this is also the case with other cyberseries.
                        close capture rendering makes the subject's background appear shadowy and dark, even the photofix function cannot correct the obvious nightly appearance of surrounding environment. this is not the case with other cyberseries.
                        2.VIDEO
                        >again the miscoloration and obvious pixelization, QVGA mode sucks bigtime. not so with my main phone - n82.
                        >again the darkened environment when in low light condition, even with the 3LED light on, same setting with n82 produces greater light and color balancing, no problem with aspect ration rendering.
                        DISPLAY
                        > sure k850 has some great display, but there is an obvious disconnect when trying to view same video quality movies vs n82.
                        256k colors vs 16m colors!
                        Video Play
                        >there again is the obvious slow processing quality, even with high-video demand gamez, you'll see the delay time. try playing Need for Speed on both units..u'll know what im talkin about...n82 handled the game in flying color..thanks to its onboard video chip...and the 320++ mhz microprocessor...and the 128 mb app mem...
                        FUNCTIONALITY
                        -wifi,GPS,ultrabright xenon flash,lifeblog,Engage platform,internet call feature,ability to open docs/office files,3.5 mm audio jack,front cam pic ability,2.4"16mcolor display,builtin Flash Player...etc etc...although i am so amazed at your claim that most were copies from k850i,how come??!! is SE the proprietor of all copyrights on mobile technology???if so, can we also claim SE copied all those features as well from other inventors,tech RnD company??
                        GUI
                        i dont experience any delay or hang-ups with my n82,never did once...
                        DEsign and Structure
                        i'd give k850i this one, but not without loose ends. the housing itself is so illfitted and wobbly im hearing creeks and snaps while texting,using the keypad. and when i got my k850i down my pocket, a little pressure would turn it off and, i soon discovered that the bottom part is causing this anomaly....
                        PRICE
                        for all its functionalities, excellent flash and camera,solid built housing,connectivity, great display,usability...price is not a question...
                        you didn't offend nor was i ostracized...
                        til next postings...

                          Guys, I had it with all these quarrels on the k850 review, I thought that this forum is to post the pro n cons of the reviewed phones, not to bash the phone and "extremely" compare it with other phones

                          and right now I'm giving a review n opinion...

                          first of all, i'm not an SE or Nokia or any companies fanboy, i've used nokia, moto, samsung, siemens and SE respectively, and i had both, i repeat, both N82 and K850 and a good friend of mine have an N95 8GB so I definetely know what i'm saying it coz i've compared all three of them...

                          here's what I got,
                          For the camera, the N82 is better than K850, and the N95 is on the last place..both N82 and k850 has strenghts and weaknesses but i can conclude that the N82 is slightly better especially for macro n dark/low light environment..for bright environment, k850 is better coz it provides more detail

                          N82 also have more functions than k850, even though some are copies from the k850 functions and some are functions we (I) dont really need...

                          Performance is better on k850, faster GUI when browsing(except when the media is turn on minimized mode), less lags n hangs, also better battery life for gung-ho useage...
                          k850 do have some software problems which I expect to be fixed on the new firmware release

                          Sound quality is on par on the N82 and k850, both have good quality speakers and sound, but when using a walkman HPM earpiece, the k850 sound is really good, match with those W-series walkman phone

                          for the build and looks, no need to tell, k850 is a clear winner

                          But final words, I prefer k850 than N82, why? First of all becoz of the design, almost 75% fone user consider the looks and style, whether it will look cool on their hands or to show off or sumthin' and the N82 just not fit in it, as u all can see, the design of the N82 is one of the crappiest nokia design i've ever see..to tell the truth, all nowadays nokia are crap in design, all of those heavy big bricks etc..and to many models released one after another with just mediocre looks and high price..nokia 8210, 6600 and 7610 are the last best nokia released, after those, almost all are crap (no offense, that's the truth)

                          and speaking bout price, the price also one of the factors why i prefer K850 to N82...here in my country, the price of K850 is approx US$400 compared to the US$550 N82 and US$680 N95 8GB...

                          hope i'm not bashing or offending anyone with my opinions coz i'm not planning to do so, just sharing my experience using both phones...

                          thanks
