k850 camera is very good..(and will be even better after next real firmware..029 and 037 IS THE SAME SOFTWARE..THERE IS NO NEW FW TO K850 YET)..k850 was released with 2 different version...thats it

i previously own K800.about 3 weeks time change to K850.i also got a fren that own n95.already testing the phone when trying to decide to buy n95 or k850..what i can say that is :
N95
*camera very lag
*speaker is powerfull but lack of bass element.sound is not nice and not "sharp".music lover will dispointed very much.
*this is symbian phone, so when u used 2gb memory,it will lag a bit when u trying to open application.
K850
*already updated to new firmware.all problem have been solve including black picture when taking photos in the dark.
*speaker is very powerfull.the sound is very sharp and rich with bass element.the stadard is equal to walkman phone.try to use HPM-82, the sound will become much better compare to ipod.
*using 2gb memory right now and no lag to open application.

After reading most of the forums on the net, I've decided to sell my N95 and buy this phone. What a stupid idea never again. After 5 days I returned and now I have a N95-8Gig. The K850i can't do half the things I use to do on my old N95. And the navigation is a absolute pain on the K850i. Never again . . .

I already have n95 (normal edition) but it is slow.
then i bought tis phone (k850i) it is fast eventhough i insert the full song memory card (8gb) IM NOT LYING
this phone have a good sound n pic
it have 40fps, megabass, 5mp (when u take f1 tire pic, it will stop from spin) n much more
so think about it

my father bought this phone to me yesterday it is awesome perfect it is the best phone i had ever i love it the camera and design is perfect if you have enough money to buy this phone BUY IT.

Upgraded to K850i two days ago.
Took it back to vodafone today and canceled the contract. Iv now gone back to using the K800 that Iv had for over a year now.
The reasons for taking it back were:
Build quality was not what i would have expected from Sony Ericsson. Iv ownd 3 and this is the worst by far. Cheap plastic feel to it
Ear piece speaker sound quality was very poor and sounded tinny even at low volume.
This is after all meant to be a camera phone!
touch screen buttons are just a gimick and not practical to use, why couldnt they have been incorporated them in the key pad itself?
The navigation buttons and the key pad will take a bit of getting used to also.
My personal opinion is that Sony Ericsson have made an over designed feature rich phone with 5 megapixel camera which is poorly built and impractical to use. Yes it looks nice and has good camera but that is it.
I have been a Sony Ericsson fan for many years and after owning a T610 and K800i I would definitely not recommend the K850i.
A big let down from Sony Ericsson.

Yes, it has TV Out !
and it has Quadband so it will work worldwide and HSCDA so it will work worldwide

oh and RE battery life, go to display, change brightness to 80% instead of 100% and unless your 90 with impaired sight you will be able to see the screen fine. this improves battery life hugely.

i work in the mobile industry (not for sony ericsson!) but have used this for the past 3 months. by far the best phone around. no software probs like the nokia Nseries! music players wicked and sony do the best accesories...speaker docks like ipods, tripods for the camera, wireless stereo headphones. I'm the type who doesnt actually care about the phone, more how cheap my bill is, but as you can see i can be bothered to write this purely coz im happy this phone doesnt freeze! had a n95 before...

It changes your screen brightness according to the brightness of your environment.

Hey ppl...I just bought the K850i...awesomeeeeeee phone...can someone plz help me decide if i shud go for a 4 GB memory stick or a 2 GB one cuz I heard the phone starts hanging and crashing with a 4 gb mem stick...plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help

why does everyone get the impression that you have to pay for symbian applications. I've never paid anything in my life.
