I had gr8 difficulty in deciding wat fone I shud get after my k750.i knew 4 sure I wanted it 2 b a camera fone,also it had 2 hav a big screen,i also wanted it 2 b a touch screen.after much reviewin of k800,k810,w950,n95 & k850 it quickly boiled dwn 2 d N95 & k850 i knew d N95 had everything but my instincts told me 2 go wit d 3G k850 its gr8 wit d pics night & day,i hav no regrets.nex step 4 sony is a 8 or 10 mega pixels cam wit touch screen dats a big leap.

i have a sony ericsson w800i. during a call, the voice of the other person is really low. i just wanted to kno if the k850 had the same problem, i heard the k800/k810 did

Its out by month but No replacement of K800 figures dont count but speak. SE has been lagged behind by N95 8 GB and N82.Video screen size and icon interface without Wlan Gps are out of question. Resale and Prices are another factor, SE find another BenQ to merge for competing with NOKIA.

The video quality, im jus worried about that, other than that it seems like a top dog along with n95 n82 and g600 and g800 and viewty. what do ppl think of the sexy 6500 classic and sleek 6500 slide?

is the battery on this as good as a k800i or a sony ericsson k750i which i had whos battery was immense.

Hey thanks i just tried post meaningful thing.
I waited for this model almost 2-3 months and when it finally released i was greatly disappointed reading its reviews and user opinions and stuff i was soo confused that i was thinking to wait for W960i.
But m glad i didnt and am happy user of K850i.
K850i won't work without SIM card and yes its music is 70% better than N73M try it out yourself you will experience the great difference.
I just hope my opinion helps someone to reduce there confusion like i had reading the misleading reviews n stuff.

That very true kunal... My K850 works the same way... it's fantastic. No dark pictures... I changed my earphones to hpm 70... the sound is awesome... Very good phone... The battery lasts for days... Really good and genuine phone... worth buying...

kunal's review is very true n informative. i am also confused how the shootout placed k850 below since by my experience too,k850 is far better in real life pictures using its appropriate modes. even p1 takes competitive pics to the n95 which makes pics just overprocessed.k850 sure beats n95 on camera

hey... the quality is much better on the k850i because we can hear the bass and treble and its very nice... but the n73 is louder but have no bass at all...

I am not Fan of either SE or Nokia or any XYZ
But finally i bought K850i velvet blue (the beast) with 2GB microSD card last weekend.
Although i was keenly awaiting for this cell but reading comments n reviews here i was literally turned down.
But i rather decided to go with my instincts and it turn out to be right and I LOVE K850i.
Its really worth your money.
There is no dark pics coming. I was soo wanted to see dark image i tried every option thinking i will screw up somewhere but in no where i got dark images...
I rather took pic of dark room with zero light at 1am in night and it turn out to be rather coolest pic with zenon flash :D...
so people claiming dark image check ur sale it must be faulty.
People who are seriously looking to buy this cell pls go ahead and buy it.
Only Cons i see is
1. its really fingerprint magnet. But its even worth it after it ..hehe
2. guys with big fingers check the cell before you buy maybe your finger won't handle D pad well. (its not mistake of D pad so dont critize it. It wasnt customize to your body)
3.Slideshow doesn't work smoothly with lots of pics but have few second patience and u wont be disappointed :)
I also loaded cell with 1 GB of songs and many pics it runs faster and decent than my Nokia 7710 with 128MB card...its also easy to interface with pc and do all lot of stuff sync,charging thru pc,statistics, presentation with bluetooth(i use it), file transfer, contacts export to Excel files, etc
Only thing i wished was TV out but hey its SE they have never ending list of accessories and i found one which can be useful for it.
Comparing K850i with N95 is good battle on books,blogs..
All say N95 gives u GPS n WiFi stuff but almost everything is addon and pay price is attach to it.
And bout Wifi i got my own pc n wifi enabled laptop at home and wifi laptop at office so i got internet almost everywhere so no need for it in cell anyway i do have 3G enabled for theme download from SE sites only :d
And in end remember u r comparing its Nokia who is well known for slow performance, bugs, periodic hang. I remember it hanged on me when i was attending interview call (bas@#$)
I feel battle for best 5MP here in GSM arena is unfair where the battle is fought on by keeping everything in auto.
Now SE K850i has tons of sensible setting for each and every environment and if this is not available in N95 its not there mistake.
All settings work smoothly and in best way possible.
As i said to purposely see bad images i took image in darkest room possible to check zenon flash and believe me it came out to be pretty decent and largely lit room.
About ergonomics i feel its very impressive, u get touch key pad + D pad + individual buttons for operating camera + accerlometer. Its something new and orginal design. And moreover everything works its intended for.
About music its best that i can hear, my experience with my ex having N73M sounded very cheap music which hurts ur ears(playing loud music doesnt mean its good music phone) i had fear to experience same in K850i but to my happiness its music is just crisp, meaningful bass n treble and vocal notes and with its proprietory Megabass its best.
Only glitch i experience as speaker is at back side keeping cell on table in up right position blocks its path which significantly lowers its sound.
And hey it has slot supporting Micro SD and M2 which is very innovative.
In end i would conclude SE K850i is innovative design and something original in every possible way and best thing is at cheap price.
Maybe it must be gunnypeg model so test there new upcoming designs.
But i bet in coming models Nokia will have lot more to copy from SE other than vice-versa

k850 is camera phone but it hav great music player. i compared all w new series like w910, w960. the k850 with hpm-70 headset much louder music than all se. it has megabass also

How could i use this phone as modem to online with PC? Until now i still can't use the EDGE function to online from PC.
