Hi! I nd help but my post seems kanna erased everytime I put up... tis is frustrating! I juz nd help on installing 3rd party software like a concise english dictionary + google map tat's all. Can e fone supports e mentioned software n where can I get them? Pls dun erase my post tis time. I really nd help!

I don't think the phone is crappy, i've just found that my model has been experiencing software issues and i wanted to see if it was just mine or if others had done the same.

Yeah, there is no setting to change the backlight timer as far as I'm aware of which is a bit annoying!

It's so far my 3rd day and my camera starts up with a quick moment, no need to wait. Also, just turn down your backlight to view the pictures for a longer time. It's a bad thing with SE that they don't have a setting for backlight timeout.

Hey, can you stop being an idiot? It only loses in terms of video quality, everything else about the camera, the N95 bombs in and the K850 rises above. Like turning on the camera, picture to picture and saving/viewing the picture.

Also, you're coming here because the N95 sucks, huh. Me too, lol.
The K850 is wayyy faster, eh? And so is the pics. Sucks for SE for their vid quality to be worse, but atleast you can take 10 pictures with the K850 in the time it takes an N95 to take one picture.

I'm came from the W810 and RAZR V6Maxx so I'm used to the small and medium sizes of phones, but you're right about the size of this phone. When it's in your hand, it seems big, but it's not a big bother for me.
As well, I didn't want to take chances, so I bought a plastic case to put around it, and CrystalClear film for the K850 on the back and on the screen. I don't think it's ugly though, and is unfortunate that your phone wasn't up to your expectations. If you keep this phone, hopefully you'll grow fond of it a bit more.
P.S. I also found that the sound quality with the W810 headphones with the K850 is better. It's just strange, that's all.

Phone sound VS the W810 is not as loud, I suppose, but the quality when listening to it is very good through the headphones. Somehow, it just brings out every single part of the music. (I listen to very complex parts/music)

The k850i is very over-rated, im afraid to say.
I had the k800 for 16 months and it was perfect, everything worked so quickly, the camera was brilliant and more importantly it never broke. However, i've had this phone now for over a month and I'm beginning to get frustrated. Unlike the k800 it seems to take ages to turn to camera on, and if your finger is even the slightest bit touching the back face as you take a photo, the photo is too dark because somehow your finger has upset the sensor. Also, when viewing photos if your looking at a photo for about 5-10 seconds, the screen turns blank (to save battery) but it wont light back up by touching a button, you have to turn the camera off and on again.
The camera itself is good when it works right, the photos are brilliant and i can't fault that, also the sound quality is also very good. I've even grown to really like the touch screen, its very responsive and isn't too big an area to press like a Samsung. But again the back is prone to finger prints and scratches, the d pad is ok when you get used to it but its easy to press the centre menu button whilst trying to press up.
I think there are software issues within the phone as it freezes a lot, turns itself off a lot and the screen can occasionally turn a blend of colours as if the screen has been dropped. For this reason and the camera being tricky to use quickly and to take a good photo within you finger being in the way of the sensor, i would not recommend this phone. The k800 just works and i think is still a much better phone overall.
I'm sure people will disagree but having 2 sets of opinions is better than just one. Has anybody else notices these problems?

@Kam... i told you its really crapy , you should have seen the n95 and k850 shootout first here. SE looses big time. thats a fact

i've waited this phone for a long time..after testing..i'm dissapointed.i've used a w810i(still have) for more than a year and it's a great phone..but k850i ...it's a damn brick!the back side is so easily scratchable/any fingerprent stays there forever..it's slow/the "d"-pad..takes a while to get used to..it's ugly..all it has up to my expectation is the camera..not enough

hello,,i have great cam reviews about k850i ,,at moment using w610i which is fanastic in its own right,but not a good answer on video front..I know its qvga which is a better improvement than qcif but cannot find a video complement and if video is a bit unstable will it get fixed with a firmware update ??I know i am going to buy the fone but would enthuse a bit more if video was fluent,,some are saying is jumpy,,

I have read the camera comparision review. I personally think that k850 wins in the PICTURE contest. The pictures taken with k850 are more detailed, colors are more prominent and many other things. I just think it lost the contest due to video quality otherwise its fine. And pictures taken in bad light using the flash are really good.

People who have complaint with its camera clarity, they have 2 use it correctly. Remember 2 hold this phone 4om edges & then c his phone will give u best results even in 100% darkness. Also remember 2 put red eye reduction in camera settings.

i have been using K 850 4 more than 2 weeks & this phone is really mind blowing. Sound quality is also very good. Louder than all old K series. It is also clear. It has also got a new media player. This phone has auto rotate function which is too good. Camera clarity is superb. U don't need any digital camera if u carry this masterpiece in ur pocket. It has stylish looks. One more thing some people have complaint that this phone does not have File Manager like other SE phones BUT I WANT 2 MAKE CLEAR 2 EVERYONE THAT IT HAS FILE MANAGER IN ORGANISER ICON. Previously I have used K 750 & W810 & believe me this phone is far ahead than both of them. I m very satisfied with this digital camera cum walkman cum phone cum touch panel. Overall it is the best phone SE ever launched.

I ordered this fone when it hit the mobile scene...I waited ages for it...I had to send it back TWICE!!!!! It kept freezing, took too long to save pics and I was forever polishing it!!!!! LOL U can't knock Sony's UI, the clever battery/mem slot cover, the touch screen....but still a BIG let down..I have always SE fone, now I have the G800...nicer build but such a boring fone!!!! and a silly UI...thinking of sending it back....decision, decisions ;OP

ED, hi there again, hope youre not mad at me:)
But when it comes to nokia phones, i experience that these are much slower than SE, is this because of the symbian? ive had N73 and 6300. the 6300 is much faster then the N73...it could take three minutes to send a textmassage...i mean..thats not good at all.
So i mean that the SE phones are easier, faster and got it all, most of them have mp3, good camera, radio, a good editing program for pictures and etc..so i totally agree with you! we loooove SE dont we

i have the k850i this is one of the best phones ive had.
i recentley had a nokia n95 but like all nokia n series the software let it down, so the k850i is amazing
