mwh9 (Benji)-
I know what you mean, sort of. Here in Canada, apparently a lot of people like the silver version more then the black/green one.
But at least here, it's still available for order. If you're in Belgium, aren't you able to order from the Sony Ericsson Online Store? People from Europe are lucky to have that option, but here in Canada, it's whatever SE decides to give us.
But there is that thought about unsafe online orders, so it's up to you.
If that's not a bother, I don't know if you haven't tried, but look for online stores with international shipping if you're desperate, but if not, look for one that's Belgium based.
Hope you get the color swatch that I want to get and love too.

Cheers

    4Bbn-
Stop it with your "MY REVIEW MEANS THAT EVERY SINGLE K850 IS LIKE THAT" attitude. You were unlucky, and because you were going to be like this, god has probably pre-emptively smited you for such a stupid approach.

Have you saught to try out another K850?
Sure you can be conceited and say "What is SE doing? ALL of their phones should be of top quality. There shouldn't be a single phone under their set bar." but you know in this world, nothing is perfect.
If you haven't saught to try out another K850, then please don't post your 'rubbish' on here. So your single phone out of nearly 1,000,000 that will be released sometime before the next series flagship was a dud. Whoop-dee-fcking-doo.
I'll condone most of what I said if you tried ATLEAST more then 2 K850s, but if not, what poor review. Having given no thought about every single thing that could've gone wrong with the phone that gave you sh|t.
And I believe, when you posted you got your K850, you reached into the first shipments batch, which is usually obvious that with SE, they were indeed rushed for an early as possible date, so the quality is hindered. But why not be smart like me right now, and receive the phone for just a flat of 500? But this is Canadian prices, and it's from HK, so unlike you, I don't trust the store, not the phone nor the brand.
That, and if future repeats itself, this phone will be of a better/highest build and quality by the next few weeks.

By the way, I don't want to be stupidly accused of defending this brand because I'm a die-hard fan, I'm just defending this phone because it seems that alot of people who somehow like Nokia, flame almost every flagship model from this brand, and this phone deserves kudos. Just because the N95 is better then this phone in some places while the K850 dominates in an equal amount of areas, doesn't mean one phone is better then the other. They're both at the same level and class, and accept that K850's camera is lower in resolution for video recording then the N95, but the K850 is more media rich and is a no-nonsense phone.
So for me being one of the people who feel like joining a stereotype is stupid, I just have one thing to say. NokiaFanboys, open your eyes and think not about the features that you can SHOW OFF, but the features that are REALISTICALLY USEABLE on a DAY TO DAY basis, and that is really worth the money you're going to put towards, because YOU ARE GOING TO USE THIS PHONE FOR WHAT IT IS, right? It's IMPRACTICAL to BUY WHAT YOU DON'T NEED and be TOO pre-emptive. In the real world, better safe/early then sorry/late doesn't apply. It's; if you're ready for it not safe.

    Cheers

Not my area of expertise. Reformatting may help, but why wouldn't the "maps" just be a a section of the card the phone couldn't read. Maybe it corrupts it. Dunno and really not much help. BTW I'm Y9}n thanks for your lil comment. I'm a purse kinda guy FYI. I just love that guy.(4Bbn) You show and link him to out-right facts to rebute what he types and the next post he's saying the same thing. i.e. the price. There's $150 difference. You should read back a few pages, I've had some good ones. I know its petty but I get a kick out of it. Stupidity fascinates me.

Thanks for your post, although I had already been there (read towards the end of the thred...I am AJS!)

I understand what the guys on there are saying but am surprised that the phone, supposedly, supports 6GB without any issues, if what they are saying is correct.

I am guessing that it is worthwhile reformatting the card to remove the GPS map software that it (probably) contains???

            What do you think?

If that doesn't work that I'll admit defeat and get either a 4 or 6GB card.

I read oon GSM Arena that the k850i music volume output(trough the speaker)is higher than the one of the w910i (there are two values like 75 for k850i and 69 for w910), then they affirm in their review of the w910i that this phone is one of the loudest around.WTF? i don't really get it... Can someone tell me wich one is louder(When u listen to music trough the speaker not trough the headset). Please answer me beacuse this aspect is very important after my opinion. Thank you:D!

With touch-sensitive buttons try pushing directly on the little white hash marks. Found this to be best.

                        all function is great but
                        - 2 hard 2 press d button and oso sensor button
                        - some of the file arrangement is not good enough
                        :P

                          Algenon:

K850 technically supports and reads 8Gb cards as A200 theoretically supports up 32Gb, but SE only said 4Gb because it may lead to some performance flaws as the hardware system can't handle such enormous memory inside it :)

                            Hey everyone.

Has anyone tried an 8GB MicroSD in their K850? I just have and the phone is not detecting/registering it at all. The card was supplied with my wife's Nokia N95 (it has GPS maps on it) so could that be the reason why?

Lots of people have said that the phone will accept 8GB (despite SE saying that it will only accept up to 4GB) so is there something that I can do to make it work? Re-formatting the card maybe?

Any tips or advice gratefully received!

I bought a K850i and returned 3 before deciding to leave it. Worst phone i had in years for bugs. SE rushed this one out for Christmas cos of the competition already out and as a result its a mess. As well as the bugs its got a horrible keypad the phone is plasticky and attracts finger prints the usability is useless and those touch keys are rubbish...SE is going down!

NOkIA's symbian OS crashes and freezes on a daily basis. Even long after initial release and plenty of firmware upgrades. Yet you ppl still love it. If I want the constant hassles of a smartphone OS, then I'll get a proper smartphone w/ qwerty keyboard. I've owned Nokias(n73 and some basic model dunno which) unlike most of you in here. Sold n73 to friend, and he ended up trashing it 3 months ago after it froze when trying to enter a girls #. Why put up with that?!?!?!? Yet blindly you guys love it to the point of going into SE forums to trash their products, when you damn well know SE makes a hell of a phone.
                                  @jui
My property taxes are probably more than you make a year. I own a wholesale distribution company. I'd link you to the site, but you probably go there and trash my product w/o ever trying it. Similiar to what you do here.

yes we are talking of which one is better. no contest with nokia in terms of video quality. it is sad to see the very poor video quality of k850 over n95 review here.
