I cant believe you all argue over SE and Nokia, its ridiculous because everyone knows some phones suit some people and some dont. Get over the fact that it doesnt have wifi, get a computer, so what it doesnt have a 3.5mm headphone jack, its SE they make great headphones for phones (unlike nokia) You seem to all forget how long battery lasts on n95 and even 8gb n95, its terrible. I have both phones (n95 + SE K850i) and work for a telco, they are both great but for individual purposes. What about how many n95's go back because they freeze due to terrible nokia software? You all forget its a phone and there is no use payin for a phone u have to continually update with software, or is continually back at the manufacturer.
Lets talk about practicable features. Like Camera, Music player, interface, call quality, and battery. SE wins 4/5 at least with camera being questionable. Anyone who uses more than those features needs to get a social life and stop buyin phones to compensate. BOTH ARE GREAT PHONES, you cant compare them exactly as both do two totally different things...

I've had this phone now for about 3-4 weeks. I am so disappointed! The camera's quality of my older K800i was far superior than this one. Anyone who has seen my phone gets captivated that it takes 5 mpx shots but I get embarassed when they want to see it in action because every shot has come out horribly. I was at a wedding and all shots taken with the flash came out black. Another photo I took at night and the flash made the whole picture gray....I never had these problems with my K800. My biggest issue is the fact I paid almost $600 for this phone...I'm not sure if I got a really good K800i and then I got a really bad K850, but either way this is not what I was expecting.
On the flipside, the touch sensitive buttons are great. I've tried to use other phones and it's difficult imagining a phone without them.

Yes. I have tried putting walkman phone & there is no problem. It works great. I purchased K 850 2 days back. It's little difficult 2 use this phone in the starting but hope I will b able 2 use it in comfortable way because I have been using Sony Ericsson phones for more than 3 yrs. Overall phone is great. Best thing is u get all both touch screen menu & normal buttons in the phone.

1st, make sure that you are holding the camera properly when taking low-light pics. There was a pamphlet in the box on this. Any finger on camera side while taking a pic wil interfere with light sensor/affecting flash firing.
2nd, If that is not the case than update the firmware. There were some issues with the flash timing on some phones.

I am first user of K850i in Belgaum.
The phone is sexy!!!!!!!!!
Has Feather Touch menu buttons on top of Key Pad.
Battery life is average.
The display has yellowish effect.
The camera is Unfortunately of BAD QUALITY, even though switching D Xenon flash, the photoes are absolutely black in dim light, even in evening about 5.30pm.The sound quality is nice in ear phones but external speakers do not have audible sound(Ringtones) in crowd.
The price here is 21,400/- Rs for CHINA MADE HANDSET.
K790i Has good Camera quality than K850i as i compaired with my friends handset which is Sweeden Made.

i ve a k790i n this as wel.. but i feel the k790i is better for photos in dim light. not very impressed with this new baby..

hi guy! I wanna know if u put a walkman flash theme on k850.. or any other flash theme.. for example from t650 or s500.will it work?? i mean not only the wallpaper to be chanaged.. i want the icons in the menu to be changed.. to be flash! please if someone tried post a message. pls:D! thx

N82 will be the direct competitor of K850, we will see who can deliver the best built quality, the best display(sharpness and dimensions), the best sound and camera quality,
the best dimensions+weight, the best autonomy. And only then we can compare those two mobile safely and judge by their price, witch is the best offer...
K850 comes with a 512MB stick, included in the packet and supports up to 32GB sticks of both Sony memory sticks and SD, its very hard for any mobile to beat that, but i expect from N82 nothing less...
The main advantage K850 may have is the support for a GPS receiver, as an accessory,
Nokia will have to make one too, soon...

i'm SE fans, but i don't like the k850i design, especially the navigation key. it look impossible to press the navigation key and sms in one time.

MAYBE the N82 with it's xenon flash will take good photos maybe not... For e.g look at k800 or K810 vs nokia N73, the time that the nokia N73 takes to autofocus the SE K810 has already taken and saved the photo... Nokia is to slow as always.... SE rules

TOKEN, i work in a big store who sell all electronic gadgets...my department is cellphones of brands like Sony Ericsson, Nokia, LG, Samsung, HTC etc. This store is all over our country so, its a huge concept:)

Hi,
I have now had my SE k850i for a week now and i love it!! its so unique, funky and great features. I love the photo album and how the photo rotates when you move the phone... very helpful.
Also, i am grateful that the audio features of this phone are just as good. The new menu set up of the SE is great as it is something new.. i have 3 other SE phones and they are all exactly the same feature wise, they just look different so im glad this one is totally different

as for the N95, just as good, although it just doesnt look good to me. too bulky and boring. im not saying its a bad phone... just not my style

please before you make a comment make sure your grammar is correct. this is a forum about this particular model judged by the people who owns it. hates dont belong in this forum as much in any other forum... i like SE phones and i dont bash nokia because people prefer different brands and it doesnt mean that if you like a different brand you'll go ahead and belittle others. use your head people. im sick of reading posts from ignorant individuals

I bought my first phone in the year 2000 for $180 (Nokia 3330) -- yesterday I got myself a new phone, costing me nearly $800... and just now i realised that i could have upgraded my computer to a Quardcore :'( or could have utilised it somewhere better than a communications device...
CellPhones are a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADD addiction.
All of you please think twice before buying a new phone and atleast wait for 3 months after a new release to buy it...
