I went their last week and I've asked store after store after store but no k850i available... I've also asked employees from sonyericsson arround the metro and they still wouldnt give an exact date when the phone will be launch...
If this phone would still be not available by the end of Nov, I'm getting the N95 instead...

Finally got my hands on a buddies blue k850. Very solid construction. Beautiful screen. Much smaller than I expected. Only slightly larger than my w810i. Keypad very ergonomic. Doesnt require a finger tip to push individual buttons cause of spacing for those of you with sausage fingers. Touch sensitive keys worked flawlessly. Definitely a learning curve to menu. Took great pictures as far as i could tell on the screen. Video wasnt that great. Dunno if there are settings the could affect that. The bestpic feature wasnt working though. Either a glitch or again settings needed adjustment. (He just got it a day ago) Fingerprint magnet indeed. Havent had a phone i didnt need to wipe off at some point though. I think it is definitely worth buying for $600 or less. Im going to wait for a bit still.

i checked today and the price is CAD$725.00.
i'd better order from Baguio City...

The camera on the K850 is different to operate than the last camera phone K800/K810. Personally I don't own a K850, but I've been researching and I notice there's a image in the manual show you how to operate and properly hold the camera for the best quality result. Judging by that, I realized there's a serious different between K850 and K800/K810. So the best advice is to read the manual and follow the instruction for a best quality photo. Just my 2 cents.

no, k850 is not complicated for me, so as k810. i like other feature because its smooth and speedy. my point is focus on the camera, i dony wish to see user suffer for the camera function since k850 having the title of cybershot

Frst of all, any high end import are not easy to handle, besides, not many of us can afford them, you got to be a hardcore bmw enthusiast to research other forums, delicate your time and have the patient to learn the vehicle, to grow into you. Most of us don't have the money, time and the patient, that's why bmw offer other 5er model to fit each individual's need. Just like K850, if it's too complicated for you, there's many other choices like K770, K550 for those who don't want to pay 600 for it and don't need all these features. I don't see any different between buying a high end vehicle which requires some learning and getting use to it compares to buying a high end mobile phone pack with many up to date features which also require time to learn how to function. Both need some times to get use to, that's why we are here to discuss and research.

has anyone had the camera lens behind the special plastic covered in dust, i was looking at my k850i outside and saw lots of dust under the protective plastic so i sent it back and got a new one so i will see if it happens again, anyone else had this problem?

Hi All,
Am planning to get the SE850i. Its going to be launched in Malaysia probably next week.
From what I heard the phone is priced between 1800 to 2000 Malaysian dollars.
Do you all suggest I go for SE850i or should I go for a Nokia or other brands? I want to get a 3.5G (HSDPA) phone.

hey, i have the same problem as well, but not in k850, is k810.
I have both N73 and K810, so i convert part of the animation movie FFVII advent children to test out on both phones. i select video convertor setting as (30fps, high quality, MP4), although i know mp4 file are suitable to PSP, but i still curious to try. Then i trasnfer to both phones. Lucky my N73 never disappoint me, the output is as clear as DVD, even able to compare with the N95. but, k810 is really bad, the problem is same as u stated, which is running on 1sc with 1 frame, some sort like feel the movie is lagging, some how the quality still ok, but the screen too small...
i though K850 will be different, after all what i think is wrong
