i like the idea that sony will compete with the gps features.. but dont u think it will cost us again for buying the gps device for this phone? im a SE lover but im just wonderin y dont SE make a phone that all in one? pls SE make a phone like the n95 features. we believe in you.

if youre looking at just video the n95 is better it has 4 times the resolution as the k850. although the camera is slightly better on the k850. if you want a video-camera phone you should look at the n95 or the n93i the latter has 3x optical zoom which is rare for a phone and very good for videos
and before you guys flame me for suggesting only nokias to this guy please send SE and email 1st and tell them to fix this cause nokia has been coming out with vga recording for a year or so now...and sony is just now starting qvga? wtf? they are just playing us for fools so that when they release the k860 in 6months will buy it again for the vga :P
ps. im not a nokia fanboy SE is actually my fav brand its just that they're lagging behind in a few departments but theyre still the best!(for the most part) :)

Can someone out there pls help me.I'm in a dilemma in whether i shud buy da k850,n95,or wait 4 da n82.I'm currently thinking of da k850.But wat i need 2 knw is about da gps in k850.From what i've read, da Sony Ericsson HGE-100 GPS Enabler gives voice and text navigation.Does this mean that i can only hear and read about directions? Will there be a map shown on the screen like da n95 and 6110 navigator? will there be a search function? Pls help me.

SE plz work hard otherwise samsung and brands will smoke you out and lost your position.Wsih you best brand all rounder.

dis camera has many function 2 work out.. da 5megapixel satisfied our customer.. dey nhave great days with it.. we do recommend da cybershot for da bes entertaining mobile from sony..

☞ Kindly use GPS Enabler HGE-100 with it to enjoy GPS Functionality in your phone. The best part is that just put the phone in your pocket, plug it in your ears and follow the directions as it says.

you can use LED as a torch, but this phone has a xenon flash, which is much more powerfull and better for pictures than LED.
however i do not think you can use xenon as a torch, because its too powerful

Acually SE use Symbian OS in there smartphones but didnt use in Camera phone or some Walkman because it often have problems and also camera is really slow.

HeLLo~i think Sony Ericsson Camera is the best in the mobile world.xenon flash is too good!Nokia N95 is the best phone because they use Symbian OS.Can any one tell me why Sony Ericsson not use Symbian OS???

yes i can't believe how se brings out a little bit of this & a little bit of that on diff phones.. i had the k750 & thought it was awesome.. then i got the k800 and loved it but did'nt have the light u could leave on like the k750 which i used as a little torch all the time!! something so simple they left out really stood out for me.. now the k850 is coming out with only 30fps, which is an improvement, but way not good enough for this day and age... get on with giving us "everything on 1 phone" instead of one has this & the other that!!! and for crying out loud, where is the lock application that motorola have which is awesome.. you can lock every individual feature it has.. if u lose ur phone, they can't look at ur pic's, vid's, phonebook etc etc etc... or never use ur phone, ever!!! you need that privacy in a phone, & other brands should follow too!!!

Yes I quite agree with you. Why in deed don't SE make a fully featured phone? The answer is that SE are STINGY and are trying to squeeze every penny out of their customers. One of the techniques is by making artificial categories eg K and W series when in fact they are both multimedia devices geared towards entertainment. The features of the K and W series should be on the SAME device. The success of the expensive but fast selling N95 is proof that this is what people want. Music, video, photos, radio, internet: this is all multimedia. Therefore both the K850 and N95 are multimedia devices. The question is which system to use. The Symbian system is better because it allows for important features such as WLAN. This is a terrible absence and has crippled the internet facilities of the phone. SE should seriously consider using a smartphone OS with the 5MP camera to allow for the use of WLAN. Remember this is a high-end phone so this feature is not too much to ask for. SE continue to irritate potential customers by making the device tri-band thereby limiting its use. They pretend that the 16M colour revolution has not taken place and religiously insist on 262144 colours which is 64 times less. The retina of the human eye DOES tell the difference. We are being robbed of a vivid experience. SE continues to religiously insist on substandard camcording. QVGA is four times less resolution than VGA, yet they went and placed it on this high end device as if to tell their customers that they don't deserve VGA. This coming from a company with a wealth of knowledge of camcording. If they feel that camcording is not important then why place it in the device?? IT IS A DISGRACE. To conclude I must state that Nokia's N95 and SE's K850 are comparable in that they are both multimedia devices with phone facilities. Yet N95 is far ahead because they use a more flexible operating system and Nokia are generous with features. My advice to SE: the party is over. They are capable of producing well specced multi-featured phones. They better start doing so.

Sony ericsson gonne release gps for there phone pretty soon 2, and it wil be external so you can use it on other phone's aswell.
