I've owned this phone for quite a while and I can say that it is great for business users! it has everything you need and it works brilliant. the touchscreen is really nice, good response and color/brightness. the keys are great, after a few days I was able to write on the device very fast and it is comfortable. the UIQ 3 works OK..it freezes sometimes(rarly but still...).
all in all it's a great phone! I personaly love it!

ive been using m600 for 10 month and is amazing phone... uiq 3 is the smartest OS.. good for business.. good for entertainment ( lot of good 3d games and great earphone sounds ).. sure lack of internal memory ( 80mb ) is the only problem that cause hangs.. but maybe there willbe another m series that will bebetter than this one

Grego: yes the preinstalled version of quick office does allow you to edit word and excel, however i have never used excel myself because i dont even know how to use it on the computer. honestly the quick word is fine, types a decent 100 words before it starts lagging, then start a new document with a new paragraph - something that can be improved but can still cope.

as with the "inconsistancy" what i mean is that i find it slightly irritating when (ie. call a new number but then cant save the number to existing contant.) problem isnt too big but could be improved to save much more time.

no name: yes you can use your fingers instead of the stylus to make calls and end calls. there are on-screen buttons on the bottom that act just like the softkey functions you would see in a normal phone.

sms: maybe try send it back to factory for a warranty.

zago: the touchscreen doesnt lock when you're in a call, but the only things to touch when you are in a call are icons like "end call" towards the bottom of the display but its small. ive never encountered problems with the touchscreen whilst in a call.

                            To mikel:

Thanks for you informative opinion. I really appreciate an honest point of view.

I am thinking of getting one in white as well. Also I assume that if you have typed out a few assignments, you can edit word an exel documents?

As far as the OS is concerned... do you mean that in some circumstances there is not a consistent flow navigating through the OS?

seani boi: good point. i dont think it'll be compatible because of the different input of keyboard. if it works you wont be able to use the keys except for the numerics. AND w950 doesnt have a memory slot so you wont be able to acess files on your M2 if you have the w950 firmware. this is just my assumption though, you can give it a try.

M600i i have this phone for about 3 months now and quite content with it. only concern is the lack of RAM which causes alot of lag especially in the messaging department. the lag in the phone is due to the Symbian OS 9.1 because the new (at that time) OS is too much for the specs of the phone to handle. the music player here is fine, also has mega bass and i believe it is not much different to those wich bare the WALKMAN logo. this smartphone's apps are very decent and i like to congratulate that considering how old this model is it is still very powerful. some parts of the user interface UIQ 3.0 are not too consistant and i hope they are corrected on the P1 and up coming W960. as far as the contriversal concern about the keyboard and typing, i personally find it quite enjoyable to type on it (i have typed a few physics assignments and english essays on the train) and its actually not as bad as some reviews i have read. an advice i have for those who own one is to keep the auto-keylock ON because there have been a few instances where my phone made calls whilst in my pocket and thats $30 credit gone lol. i own a white m600i and surely attracts alot of attention everywhere i go (even the ladies) so for a business smartphone it definitely excels in aesthetics i rate this phone 7.8/10 (on a fair basis, no bias)

is it possible for me to flush a w950i firmware in m600i? because i totally want the qwerty so bad but i also love the walkman player. does anyone know if this is possible?
