This phone doesnt need a camera, even though a VGA video call camera would have been nice. It is a buisness dedicated phone, and therefore a camera would just add needless bulk and mean that the phone would cost more. If you want a camea buy the N80...

i wanted to buy sonyericsson m600, in dubai but could not find it. they said is out of stores. why? i will like ur company to still manufature it again. if posscible make it a camera and video phone. or detachable camera.

can we use short message service with this hand phone , i use a wall phone in which i cant do that .
my neighborhood shopkeeper says i can , is that true . he also recommended me this phone as i am 80 years old and can not read small screens

yeh, i already do that (switch to flight mode), still i had symbian before and the phone would wake up to ring at the designated alarm time...

I have experienced the same problem/solution master reset or software upgrade(make back up first on PC)
To Maical:
Motorola phones do the same so it’s quite common. I think this one does this because of the symbian.Try using flight mode at night. I do this and it’s perfect.

If you visit Sonyericsson.com wap site via your phone, you go to Fun & Download section and then go into applcation, the list has IM plus and other 14 odd software like advance call manager for download and the price is FREE. The problem is one you click the down link it show 404 Page Not found ...
Do try and update if you can get the software or not...

the headsets are identical to the ones who come with the k750i, the quality is similar.
i dont see why the w550i wouldnt be compatible if the connector is the same, but its a dumb question.
u could of just went on the sony ericsson website and checked for compatible headset models

Can tell anyone tell me if the have issues with the touch screen bit of this fone, my stylus just does not work with it any a tall or my finger it just wont work i restarted and all and it still not responding icant make out any calls or answer any...HEEEEEEEEEEELLLPPPPPPPPPP

I have questions: why does a phone need a camera or wifi? What if I want a phone that doesn't have an extra hole for dirt to get caught in (namely the camera lens)? What if I don't need wifi because I have a bloody laptop?
It seems like people hold it against this phone that it doesn't have a camera. I guess this is just an example of the consumer mindset we have. It doesn't matter if we will never use something, we want it anyway and we want more.
I personally don't need a camera (I have a perfectly useful digital camera and never use the cameras on my phones), so I would like to exclude it from my phone. It's just one less button that will accidentally get pressed when the phone is in my pocket.
If you like the way this phone looks, like a full keyboard, enjoy symbian/uiq, and would like a touchpad on your phone, then go ahead and get this.
