Sony Ericsson pushing out update to the Aino and Yari as well

07 December, 2009

Following our last week's report on the Sony Ericsson Satio new firmware, today Sony Ericsson are also putting up an update for the Sony Ericsson Aino, which too had some issues recently. It's good the developing team was quick enough to react.

The changes brought about with the software update for the Sony Ericsson Aino includes lower battery consumption and improvements to GPS, WLAN and Bluetooth. And user will also get a new game - Loco Roco.

The Sony Ericsson Satio update has already been available to quite a lot of users, as we reported last week. Sony Ericsson are in the process of uploading the update for all regional and operator-specific versions.

Users who have already upgraded their Satios however report there isn't any noticeable boost in performance, though the update change log suggests it should "deliver better performance and significant stability improvements for Satio". Let's hope they've put more stress on that stability part up there.

Sony Ericsson Yari is also getting the update treatment soon with the expected goodies being lower battery consumption and improvements to GPS and Bluetooth. There will also be two new games preinstalled - Snowboard Rush and Hamster Hustle.

Obviously Sony Ericsson are working hard on dispelling their image of a manufacturer that never updates a product once its out the door.
