if you want a good quality phone with a radio that is light, stylish and easy to use `out of the box` then this is the phone for you.
it beats all other phones at any price level.those complaining about the radio needing the headphones attached should remember fm always needs a long ariel for good reception,that is why the headphone lead is 2,5 feet.
i have a sony worldband am radio which cost 200 pounds 4 years ago.this technology is included in the phone for free!
on the topic of mp3`s,most radio fans dont want to listen to mp3s on their pnone anyway because they already have an mp3 player.
this phone is a real bargain,and beats hands down all nokias.i also have a blackberry for email but prefer the sony

Continued... Cones: 2. Slow processor, while writing sms latter appears slowly after pressing keys. 3. Themes give me headache, every theme that i downloaded show theme corrupt message. 4. It has built in four themes i accidently deleated two of them 5. Java has limited memory of two mb out of total eight mb. 6. Small buttons hard to press 7. Joystick is a total waste, hard to press easy to press wrong key 8. AM radio reception is very bad. Bye

I have bought this phone 2 days back. Now i will give u a complete review.
pros: 1. Nice design 2. Small and light 3. Nice screen 4. Really good sound through speakers and headphone 5. I have successfully load opera mini and gmail on it 6. Good games from se website 7. Mp3 tone sounds really nice and loud 8. Animated wallpaper can be used 9. Good t9 function 10. Radio shortcut is really handy.
Cones: 1. GSM Arena gave me wrong information about email facilities of this phone, it do not have email function

hai,this is venkat,i bought this mobile day before yesterday.i feel happy because good design& good sound quality.but memory is only 9 mb only & battary backup only one day for normal working.

se r300 is so cool. except that i had recently, just recently learned the foul reality of no expandable memory!!!!!!! i mean seriously.......... the mp3 features are toooooooo cool but no memory to store mp3s to enable you ti use the awesome mp3 features...

Hi,
A few months back, I bought this phone. It was working fine. Though I felt the audio quality of the headset on the fone(I am not talking about the earfones,earfone quality is excellent)is not very good, I continued to use it. 8 MB is a disadvantage for a mobile with so many features.
Recently it fell down, and afterwards this fone is not functioning properly. If some call comes, it automatically re-boots, resets the internal electronics, such that I am not able to see which call has come. This is a serious drawback. And I think Sony Ericsson should certainly take care about such serious issues. I didnot expect such a fierce behaviour of the fone if it falls down once.

Hey guys! I'm planning to buy this phone because it has AM radio. Can anyone tell me if the reception is good? Like if your inside a building or a mall, is the reception as good as when you're outside in the open? Can it pick-up all the signals that are in the area just like when you actually turn on your radio? Thanks guys. More power.

I just got this R300 yesterday, its a slim and nice unit since i only use for calling & receiving calls. I hope this will work well, Since my W960I still with the service center which i have a problem on d screen.

I purchased the handset and it works really good thus far no problems it really a wise investment....shop at Bmobile at B.L.P Brian Lara Promenade.Remember BMOBILE THE NUMBER ONE MOBILE NET WORK....

I got it for free for the 350 line offered by Sun. But the deal runs for 30 months, but I paid 700 so that the deal would only run for 24-months, like the other promo lines that they offer. The deal is good, in most way. I'm just having problems in receiving themes, most of the times, it says 'theme corrupted,' I just don't know what to do.
But over all, it was a good deal to have a good phone offering AM//FM Frequency

Good design. But without external memory is out of date. Maybe because it is a radio phone so there is no ext. memry. Strictly for radio lover only. Too bad.
