I have this phone for over a year now. It hangs and it collapses but its probably due to overuse since I use it EVERY.SINGLE.DAY 24/7. When it hangs and collapses, all of my msgs get deleted. I once stored around 10k messages combines in both sent items and inbox.
The camera has no auto focus so its bad if you like taking pictures but have a shaky hand like me. Other than that, the colors are magnificent.
As for sounds, it sounds like its inside a tin can since the back is metal.
The back of my phone has a lot of white dots in it. I guess its because of the metal back which tend to have its colors removed when placed in a rough surface.
In a nutshell for me, its an OKAY phone. Not good, not bad. Just so-so.

Hey... Do any of you guys tried Video calling? How does it work? I see that this camera has a feature of video calling but how could a cell have video calling facility with camera on the other side of the phone??? Any comments on this is appreciated.

i have the phone.
it has a light :]
it can lag thouugh. but its okiie.
good battery. and i text like all day.
holds a lot of msgs. a lot. i know i have like more then 2000 msgs XD i swear. takes like 10 minutes to get to the end of the inbox. (timed it ;D)
small buttons for people who have big hands =S
you can 3 way call, yess ;D
its very convienent to me. i luv the shortcut menu

Excellent phone with super battery life (5 days with lots of calls and sms)! Very very satisfied! People go for it! You wont regret it! I recommend it!

I've had my T700 since November 2008; I've had no problems until recently.
The phone restarts by itself, and won't boot up completely. It can be solved by reinstalling the latest firmware, but it's a hassle when you're hours away from your computer (say, outside or at work) without a means to reinstall.

I purchased T700 a year back, recently i conected my phone to my P.C and after removing it from the Mass Storage mode, something has happened to it. It does not accept any Sim Card. It says "No Network coverage" I need help, it used to work perfectly before. HELP...!!

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2010please help me find a casing for this unit..go to EBAY.UK - (1.ebay uk online marketplace 2.mobile & home phones 3.mobile phone Facias- more categories and find "Sony Ericsson" go to Search T700. This could help you find T700 casing there are plenty to choose.
