Ive had this phone since august last year, ive had it replaced 3 times due to factory software problems and i know for a fact that in October last year in Australia they were recalled for a short time because of these problems. Im on my 3rd model now and im having the same problems yet again, so ive made a complaint to Sony Ericsson! I would not reccommend this phone to anyone!!!!!!

J,
I've V630 and use it with my MBP. In order to sync your contacts and calendars you can get iSync plugin from this site http://mobile.feisar.com/ (works over both Bluetooth and USB), it's only just over 2 Euro; unfortunately Apple hasn't released official support for this phone with iSync. For file transfer between the phone and the Mac you can either use Bluetooth or connect the phone with supplied USB cable. When used with the USB cable the phone's memory card appears on the Mac as a removable disk and the transfer is much faster than with BT. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Attention
(It looks like a Walkman phone but it isnt, its more)
If you are looking the V630 as a music player, you will have to buy SE Earbuds and a bigger M2 memory card than the 256mb card and rubbish earphones provided as standard, but with the wonders of the internet you can pick these up quite cheaply. I got a free set of SE speakers from Vodafone as standard and would advise those without to invest in a set of these little babies as they truly must be heard to be believed. When placed together they are the same size as the phone itself and are great for taking on holidays.
As for the 3G TV its great for watching my favourite football shows and the premiership goals 15 minutes after the match ends. This is ideal for when im at work and dont have the pleasure of watching it on my plasma as I dont miss much of the action. I hope its only a matter of time before they start showing live matches on it.
My only disappointment is with the camera having no autofocus or flash and there is no FM radio. If you are looking these features and can do without the 3G I would highly recomend the SE W610i, though personally I cant miss my football and still see the goals my beloved MU score even when im in work and pefer the V630 which ive had for 5 months now with no problems....... The choice is yours

I brought this phone 8 months ago. After 3 months I had to get it replaced because it turned off and wouldnt turn back on. Now the replacemnt phone switches itself off when I'm in the middle of something. i find the battery life terrible, have to charge it on a daily basis. It also wont play my MP3 downloads.

Hello,
I Bougth this phone and I am very saticfied.
the sound quality is very good for an MP3 player but 256MB of m2 micro was not enough for me. I was a little disappointed for some java programs/games for not being completely compatible with the keypad (lazy Java programmers?).

I was thinking about buying the ear buds (HPM-70) which come with most of Walkman phones and give my MP3 player to my girl friend (Sony NW-E405) Is it Worth it? Or the quality of the sound is worse?

By the way sou o GusG. the first battery didn't work that well, but maybe i didn't charged it as I should the first 3 times. Now, the new one its very good. It last 3 days straight and even a bit longer even listening to music occasionally and sending tones of SMS. They're free here in Portugal eheh so u can imagine..
