Does the warranty cover the echo problem?

    Hello!
    I am very pleased with this phone.
    A little problem:
    I want to erase the games demos but they are protected.
    Can anyone tell me how to erase the games demos?
    Thank you,
    Alex

      zanpo:
      You're absolutely right about usb charging. I got confused it actually can be disabled from the service menu, like someone described below.
      Directly after pressing > * < < * < * choose the "Service settings" option, and there's a setting that sais "chargin on" or "charging off". That's the one.
      Sorry about the confusion.

          To turn "usb charger" off. Just go to the secret menu:
          »*««*«* (» means joystick movment to that side)!

          Good Luck

              This is a responce to a email below. Yes I have tried turning off 3G network as noted in another Post. The phone still echo's. (Not all the time just some times) When this happens the person at the other end of the phone basicly cant hear themselves. Now unfortunatly as you state, "dont buy it" I obviously already have, so after 3 DOA phones in 1 week I am more than entitled to complain. As mentioned I love the phone, but the Echo problem is not the only problem ive had with my 3 phones.

                pinkpanther: thank you for explaining this to me, i've tried to do what you said but at the usb connection it sais phone mode and file transfer, nothing about turning off the usb charging, could you explain how to do it in more detail?at the usb connection mode what should i do next?

                  zanpo:
                  You can turn usb charging off, of course - menu > settings > connectivity > USB > USB connection (must have the cable connected when you do this)
                  The manual sais it is recommended to fully charge the battery before the first use, yes.

                    hy, i just got this phone and i really like it, just one problem, anyone knows if i can stop it charging when i connect the usb cable? i'm afraid this might shorten the battery life.and does the battery need to be formatted for 12 hours to reach its maximum efficiency?

                      I got this model couple of days ago.
                      For not-yet-owners:
                      - internal memory is 16 MB, not 10;
                      - battery is 900 mAh Li-polymer, not Li-ion;
                      - comes with 256 MB Memory Stick Micro (M2);
                      - camera actually sucks, visible artifacts probably dued to an exagerated noise removal internal processing;
                      - I have had problems with joystick, precisely left and right buttons, so badly calibrated didn't even work at times, so I had to unscrew the darned thing and re-calibrate joystick buttons manually (kinda' do-it-yourself but that's me, can't help it);
                      - comes with USB data cable, great interface, phone can be set to charge from USB port, etc. ;
                      - has a pretty good processor, very fast image processing (menu animation included);
                      - very neat Vodafone live demo;
                      - I love the 2 dedicated call buttons (answer/reject) I've really missed them since T68i I guess; very practical, don't have to stare at the screen when you get a call to see which softkey means "answer";
                      - slower address book scrolling speed, my former S700 did better even without a processor as fast as this one's; My guess is there's a bad programmer out there ;))
                      - not so intuitive dedicated play/stop button on left side, they could at least have added a playlist overview when pressing it;
                      - volume buttons (right side) finally do adjust volume from anywhere you are (menu, games, video etc.), that's great;
                      - very neat overall design, the diagonal stripes on the cover are pretty kewl, and back cover finally opens without you having to do some workout first;
                      - pretty good standby, so far.
                      I'll get back for any other issues.

                          We know that this is still a phone. However, SE already have phones with better music player and radio FM in W800 or W810i, SE also have better imaging camera with flash, 3.2 MP etc in K800. So my point is why SE don't put all of those best features in this mobile? Therefore, we don't have to buy a digital camera or an mp3 player. We can use this features all together in one mobile phone. Sounds great??

                            Oh...and by the way...have any of you tryed to turn the 3G off?...You'll see the echo dissapears.It's not the phone....it's the signal quality that afects the sound quality.

                              I really dont get you guys....I got this phone a couple of days ago and it's one of the best phones I could find on the market.Awsome features works great on 3g...and still Vodafone is one of the best gsm providers outhere...No echo...no problems ,no nothing.For the guys who complain it doesnt have a flash and a 3,2 MP camera...well...why dont you try to get your self a nice digital camera...I think some of you forget that this is still a phone.Want the highest quality mp3 sound...buy your self and IPod...want flash and best quality photos..buy yourselfs a digital camera.As a phone...this is one of the best.And by the way...display is great ...256K color themes are awsome ,mp3 player is great and the phone call quality is cristal clear.Unless you're livin in the mountains or a cave...this is the phone for you.And for those who dont like black and orange...buy yourself a pink V3...maybe you'll be satisfied then.Don't like the phone ...dont buy it.Stop complaining

                                Hi All, its my daily message, I have just gone through my 3rd DOA (dead on arrival) phone since 5 days ago. Current problem is echoing (again) and the in-abillity to call the phone (or me dial out) even when I have full reception.
                                I'm not getting another one, I love the phone, the looks and the use-ability. I just am not confident that my phone will last.

                                    It's supposed to be V630i but anyways I love this phone to bits I was ledge able for a phone upgrade on my contract. So I upgraded from the (sounded great at the time) Sharp GX30i. I thought it would be hard to get used to switching to the Sony Ericsson style from Sharp but it wasn't.

                                    The camera is excellent and video recording it fantastic day or night. The only downfall is you have to purchase an add-on flash the MXE-60. I have yet to buy it but I'm hoping it will make night pictures look like a real camera as it says. MP3 player is also 1 of the great features sounds like a mini disk walkman I used to own but not as loud. Also MP3's can be used as ring tones I've cut mine up to the best bits of my favourite tracks so it sounds better.

                                    Bluetooth is great send and receive MP3's not unlike the GX30i which could only receive files below 400kb. Games are cool supports true 3D games like Ridge Racer the onboard memory for mine is 20mb. But the phone comes with additional 256mb Sony Mini Memory stick (M2) Sony's so called new format. The memory card can be upgraded to 512mb or 1GB which prices range up to £45 which I think is ok if you can afford it.

                                    Finally battery life is excellent I think I've switched my 3G off to make it last longer. The only thing 3G is needed is for video calls but I don't make many of them.

                                      Regards the below message I have done this and my phone still echoes.... I have only had the phone 3 days and I am on my 3rd phone, 3 different DOA problems..........

                                      >>>>The reason why it echoes is because its a 3G phone and the signal is not that great at the moment. You can stop the echoing by switching the band to GSM only.
