to use mp3 as ringtones, it must have a drm protecton key, supposidly to protect copyright BUT there is a way round... there is a piece of software from sony ericsson developers that will put the drm protection key onto any of your mp3's... follow this link http://developer.sonyericsson.com/site/global/docstools/misc/p_misc.jsp?cc=gb&lc=en&ver=4000&template=ps3&zone=ps
download 'DRM Packager 1.35 - Windows' or for mac. follow instructions from there.Easy enough and works a treat!

the camera is rotatable right?? why all of a sudden when the cam is rotated in front the freakin' image gets inverted... what do you think happened?? I really dunno how to fix the whole damn thing!!!

Hinge is weak. But great phone. By the way, any one knows someone who fixes the hinge in the philippines? I took it to Sony Ericsson Service center and they said they dont service this phone. please help!

Hi,
Just been given an V800 from my Dad. I have inserted my old sim card in the phone and it says please insert correct sim card.
Apparently the unit only works with specific sim cards. What are they?
In addition to the above, I would like to download some of my mp3's stored on my PC to my phone. My Dad; however, didn't send me the disk which you have to install. Is there another way this can work without the disk?

Hi, I have this phone more than a year but the only problem is that I can't put my mp3 songs as ringtones, even if I received songs via bluetooth I can put as ringtones, can someone help me.

i have this unit from my mom..and its not good,the battery is bad,easily drained...is sucks

i had this phone for about 8 months. and then it died. well, it dropped a few times so maybe that was it. but still.. it is not that good. i like the features tho. 3g calling, good internet connection, good picture qualities, etc. but you have to take out the memory card from the back to put it in the pc which makes the back cover lose.

I have sony ericson (802 SE)mobile , but whenever I try to play MP3 and MP4 files, it shows the message "DRM protection key is missing".
If anybody out there knows it's solution please send me at my E mail address. I'd be very Grateful.

i had this phone about six month after that my phone is not working properly it says "No access to network" i cant use my phone now i buy my phone in taiwan but my location now is in the Philippines.Help me about my problem pls..pls..pls. thanx

hey im having sum problems with the external screen. i close the phone but the outside screen doesnt turn on. i noticed that the screen turns on when there is a magnet near the right screw. i opened the phone to see if any wire was loose but all the wires r fine. so if u noe wuts going on u can email me or write another post. thnx

this phone does have zoom actually it is on the top, you use the same button as the volume... and by the way stop complaining about the camera if you want high quatily pictures BUY A CAMERA

i have had this phone for around 1 year now. i was like most of you guys. had some problems when it was new, but had solved it. so far i have no problems with the phone.. it's so cool. you can play your music even your movies.. anyone having problems playing mp3s? i know a simple way.. just ask me. thanks...

Hi, my phone got wet, still works ok but tends to flicker but still clear but flickers most when I'm in main menu...

Wicked phone, but the hinge is quite weak. Mine is repaired already once after 2 years. The SE camera is never disappointing, unlike Nokia. Though this camera is only 1.3mpx but it could produce better quality photos than 2mpx Nokia. In terms of size, it might be too chunky but I don't mind. Personnally I prefer this model to K800. But only K800's screen resolution is way much better. And because of the rolling camera I could use the proper camera for video calling than the second camera on K800, which is typically inferior to the main camera.
