does anyone have an idea of uk release date? 2 weeks ago 02 told me they were releasing it on the 24th May, have just called them today and they tell me they have no date for it at all.....why do they keep pushing this back!!

But you have been waiting for the vivaz for a while now, but when it will come you will wait for the price to go down? Seems like your going to wait another few months before buying it, right?
I was never a Sony E fan, but a nokia fan, lets see if I become a Sony E fan after using the x10 for a couple of months, but I don't see my next phone being a Sony E unless they add some kind of a new function for ps3.

mike1200, 20 May 2010Dropping my x10, hahaha, Im keeping it in the case for now!... moreOh yes I remember now this news came in gsmarena about windows launching their own fone hmmm u're rite,do u know even vivaz pro will be tag priced 800 dollars on its release,so I wont be grabbing it instantly ill wait 4 release, reviews,opinions and finally a price cut before buying it.I'm or I ws an ardent SE fan ,my first fone ws k770i,rite now am using w995 ,its been a long wait 4 me ys as i'd planned to buy x2 but even after two updates the fone seems to have bugs so this will be my last choice with SE ie vivaz pro if this fails then I will try any nokia fone.nice meetin u,good luck to u too bye

Yes, I did get the x10 out of excitement, went to get a new sony bravia tv, also ended up getting the x10.
Yes, the price is high for now, I paid about $800 for it.
Windows itself is coming out with a mobile of their own! Sounds exciting, just like apple came out with the iphone, but other brands will also get their interface, not sure which models, but surely sony, samsung, lg and many other brands will be getting it, not sure about nokia.
I'll be getting the original windows 7 mobile series.
What phone are you currently using?
I had to many nokias so n8 is nice but I think I'll pass, maybe the n98 will be better, which is rumored and surely will be confirmed soon.
About the vivaz pro, I think u should wait for it before buying going for another phone, it looks nice, and a good qwerty keyboard, plus u have waited for it for sometime, right?

Yes, I do have the n97, over 6 months now, before buying the x10, I didn't appreciate how easy to use and how straight forward the symbian n97 is.
So yes, I definitely like the n97.
X10 compared to the n97.
X10 built quality is better for sure, not sure if its going to continue working once I drop it on the floor which has happened to the n97 no less than 15 or 20 times and still works as it use to.
X10 screen is bigger and looks a lot better compared to the n97.
Interface, I will not be buying another android phone for sure unless I began to understand it.
I am a nokia user since I bought the 6600 and since then all my phones have been a nokia, always wanted to try a sony and without any research got the x10.
Always heard how good the voice quality was in sony ericsson phones, not the case in the x10, neither does the n97.
Its kind of funny how these brands forget the main purpose of mobile phones, voice quality!
My cousin has the new blacberry bold2, his previous phone was also the n97.
X10 is also faster than the n97, n97 also does get stuck a lot, the only way to fix it is to take the battery out of your phone which has happened a lot. Yet to happen to the x10.
The vivaz pro looks like its worth the wait, and if ur into a lot of texting a qwerty keyboard is the way to go.
Last, I'll be going a different direction for my next phone.
I am sure a new symbian based mobile will get better, android will continue to improve, but I want to try something different. Windows7 mobile will do it, coming this holiday.

Nokia is very strategic thats why they didnt try their hands on android?u said u have n97,did u like it?as for me if vivaz pro doesnt cm out in june ill be shifting to nokia or blackberry. let me know about n97.see ya.

Also have a n97 and from now on I'll be getting symbian phones like I always have been, or might try windows 7, when the new windows mobile 7 comes out.
This x10 was my first android phone, don't know why I didn't look at the vivaz before.

even symbian 3 cant support more than VGA
maybe symbian 4 can
if you want a WVGA phone you can buy ANDROID&WINMO phones

All hell yeah!! Again,good comeback from Sony Ericsson
The phone features an excellent HD video recording capabilty and an gorgeous QWERTY keyboard making it the best of smartphones.The only bad thing i felt was,it doesnt support divx,avi formats and the resolution could be increased to 800x480 rather than having just 640x360.If so it would be best ever smartphones untill 2010.
