... more(1) Why not fit 12mp while it can make HD vid recordings : HD recording isn't just relatively to the megapixel number, it depends on the software and cpu capability and etc etc. A 3mp (2048x1536) camera also can be designed to record HD 720p (1280x720 res) if it come with capable processor and software.
(2) What's wrong with what? About why not 12mp? Nothing's wrong with that, it has been determined from the start (whitepaper) the specs of a phone
(3) The point of putting 8mp camera (hey, that's vivaz non pro camera!) is to produce more details on the photo results by increasing pixel's density... the point is it gave one step easier for you taking good photos

... moreyou cant watch at you tube where the Sony Ericsson staff explain why they reduce to 5MP..
they had to make choice either to reduce the MP or make the battery larger since it has QWERTY pad...
So, they opt for the cam MP...
