I Love this fone... The best fone that I have had... The functions are really easy to use, and has great colour screen. i have had a nokia 6230i and was a bit worried bout changing but I did and wish i changed sooner. this fone has everything from a calculator..to snooze on the alarm...its definatly a great buy.. (also brought from India u get free rbk running shoes..worth 4000 rupees...not bad!)

Is any techy able to answer ross fortune request as i too am a video fan & love to know if a java app exists to play video formats nad also how big and at what framerate,,why because still s/e are churning out qcif mobile (exept w900i,,p990i) & have heard that some mobiles can playback bigger resolution or better framerates for example my lobster 700tv will record qcif at 15 fps but will plat my d600 cif vids in mpeg4..SUper confused but maybe some mobiles can play bigger vids it would be a good idea to put this as a spec for e.g. video record qcik .3gp 15 fps but can play up to qvga 15fps etc

Hi! Any help on the following issues will be greatly appreciated?
1.How do I make my w710 play videos in landscape format since it doesn't support that unlike other wseries and kseries sony ericsson phones like w550 ork750?
2. How do I play other video formats like avi,wmv, mpg, etc since I find it irritating to convert them into 3GP or MP4? Is there any other videoplayer,maybe in Java that couldlet me play all files and also allow landscape view?
3. Any websites where I can find usefull programs or goodies for sony ericsson phones.

Hi megabass means a music preset that comes only with sony ericsson walkman phones It gives a great effect when you put on your ear phones.
It doesn't match for all songs though......
But it's rocking!!!

I THINK W300I is a better choice
its ugly and bigger and sound is not as good as w300i
it has better camera ............only

i would like to advice sony ericssion to make their cable earphone, usb cable,charger etc. to have a lock like samsung, and some other phones cause frequent change between charging, transfering data, and earphone cable can make the cable pin loose easily cause its hard to find original acessories to replace.

i have this phone for 4 months, the sound quality is just great except bulky earbud facing sideway. i don't need da sports applications, i hope they improve the camera instead. The battery life is just great, i listen all day n keeps on playing. I hope they make more flip phones

rubbish phone and ugly too doesnt do anything most other sonys do so whats the pointw300i does the same and is much cheaper the only difference is the camera who cares!!!

Hey Terry, here is your answer!
This phone has Hands free speaker and Headphones, you can listen music without Headphones. Hands free delivers great sound quality. Very sharp and crisp sound quality, hand free speaker is not stereo putput.
For whome, who is asking about megabass, it is a sound which comes from Drum, Head phones produces Megabass sound quality but hans free speaker does not.

Does this phone have duall sterio speakers, or does it just play through the headphones?Can anyone say if it is clear music sound through the speaker or speakers on this phone plz.

Man, your hands must be really big... or small! I can open, close and press the buttons with only one hand. I'm glad the w710i isn't thin, Just can't seem to adjust to those slim devices, texting is too hard on those.

Here is my Review for W710i:
Small but Thick in size
Difficult to open with one hand
Outside buttons are not easy to access by one hand
Outside screen is very useful to see SMS or battery Status
Navigation key (Left –right-up-down) is hard to press
Navigation response in the menu and one menu to other is good
Numeric keys are easy to press and quite comfortable
Network signal is not weak, at least good in my home
Phone reception is good (Conversation quality)
Music/Sound quality on hands free is very good and impressive
Headphone (provided) is difficult to wear on the ears (construction wise is not a very good quality), however sound quality is great
Phone construction is very good like other sonyericsson phones
Many phone Accessories are provided with the set, such as headphones, USB cable, phone charger, audio connection to music system, 512 RAM and software.
My Rating of this Phone is 8 out of 10. Rating is highly dependent on the price of the phone, means Value for money.
