I also have W610 and W890. W610 is a wwwwwwonderfull music phone, I don't like only the average camera resolution (170X220). Besides that, W890 lacks only in voice. In any voice, ringing phone, music... Some handsets are getting better with new firmware. Is it possible to do that with this phone or the loudspeaker just sucks?

Sound is actually better on w610 (strange but true)

one thing irks me about SE, as much as i love them. They have forgotten the basic telephony conveniences. Tese are the issues i have with my w890i, were also present on my w610i:
a) 30 items in call record, thats just pathetic!
b) does not record call duration in call records - is it really that hard? Motorola can do it (so it must be easy)
c)no decent notification of missed events - again Moto give you a beep every few minutes if u have a missed call or message that you havent checked
Somebody PLEASE wake up at SE - Remember this is a FONE first and foremost - give us nice FONE convenience please. BTW i'm not advocating we go out and but a moto, let them die quietly - BYE BYE MOTO.

i have this handset (3rd one now due to same fault) and it does tick all the right boxes for me but i have constant problems with reception, network is fine so is definately handset issue and all 3 have had same fault. swaying back towards nokia i'm afraid and i was a MASSIVE sony fan. just hope w902 is better.

C902 is good for its Camera only
G900 is better

this is a great phone. it is what the w880i should have been. great battery life, decent camera, great for the internet and good for music. and it looks cool

richard, 11 Aug 2008just took the W890i out on a contract, and having problems ... moreHi Richard, Snap I am actually on my 5th handset, so finally giving it up as a bad job.. The problems have been no H symbol displayed, 2) phone kept knocking itself on and off. 3) speaker problems, sound distorted after I took the antenna out. And I finally get one that seems to do the job, but can't send or receive picture messages .I'm with o2 by the way,It seems the settings aren't on the phone, no updated software as yet, so I'm getting the new w980. so what is your experience so far.

i got this phone for my bithday in April !!
its a great phone the camera is amazing and has very good memory. its as slim as a CD case so could break easily but it wont if yu look after it. i have dropped mine many times and still not at all damaged just a little scratched and marked. But yes get this phone its great !! much better than the w580i

the speaker volume is waaay to low...I agree to the last anonymous,I got that phone like Birthday present, and buttons is to small, but other things is very nice, and design is fantastic(mine is silver one)

W910i is a slider and is similar.
T650i is old
W760i is a slider
W890i is a Walkan like W910i, has a nice slim body like T650i and is a Walkman like W760i......
W890i is perfect!

Im a little suprised that people are buying this piece of scrap. Rather get a W910, or T650,or even a W760. Much better and more equiped SE phones out there. In my opinion the W880 and W890 are bad mistakes.
