and W890i has HSDPA, 3.6 Mbps, Quadband GSM
Samsung, or Nokia rivals, dont have those
So each to their own Features
W890i has alot to Offer in this Range

i agree W890i is an amazing device but many fundamental features are missing!
the self portrait picture is not the only one.
1. you can not remove the network name from the idle screen and have to see in on the wallpaper all the time :-(
2. No way to disable bluetooth auto-connect :-(
these are simple feature to implement.
Samsung and Nokia have them.
I am pretty surprised here.
still very happy with the device though...

Just got the w890, it is super! I am loving everything about it and have just become a Sony Ericsson fan again.
I am coming from a long use of nokia phones, my question is, is there a way to use the front camera on the w890 to take self portrait pictures?
Every nokia I have ever had allows you to use the front video call camera to take pictures, the w890 seems not too.
Is there a way? Possibly some kind of hack?

Dayum, so why is this N95 8GB's image saying 662KB ?
the same image done with K850i came upto precisly 1.3MB
il tell you what, il do it properly again with the N95 8GB next time i get my hands on it ..
same thing as last time, same image with both phones

so you know dani i just find it hard to believe your photo came to 600kb

took with N95 8GB first and the size come upto precisly 662KB
then took the same picture same place same scene with K850i
file size is 1.09MB
im not lying not joking..

600kb? come off it. what did you do? take a photo of a dark room? cos thats unfair.
take a photo in the garden and the n95 will whoop the k850s ass. or even indoors, it doesnt really matter. obviously without the xenon flash u have to be a bit more generous witht he light

nick, 03 Jul 2008erm no dani, the k850 is always blurred cos the shutter rat... morewell i took the same picture with N95 8GB and then with K850i
N95 8GB came upto 600KB
my K850i image size was like 1.9MB
and trust me K850is camera result was clearer
