I am also probably going to buy this phone, looks cool and is very promising. What i wonder is: will the sound quality be good and will loudspeakers be loud? in the review here it is said that loudspeaker reaches 78 dB which is VERY loud, but on the other hand the reviewer says the speakers are neither loud nor balanced. So are they loud now or not?
And is music quality good?
And does using a 3.5mm headset adapter ruin the sound quality? (general question)

wat i got the news is the price's within RM1700...but i think its was good deal...coz now at malaysia W880i is still selling RM1399...3.2 MP , 3G , internet view & style also very nice...so wat i think is within 1700 is a good deal 4 me...how bout yours? any comments ? pls any 1 tell me wat's problem its hv if u noe...thx...

Yeah, I'm also getting tired of waiting. Why does SE keep showing us so many phones all at the same time when they're not yet available? I mean, if one product can't be released yet in the market, then why do they create more products? Why don't they focus first on one product for its release? After that, tHey are free to create another product which would be yet to be available. Aaaarrggh. I hate SE.

I'm getting pissed! This phone is taking forever to come out! 3 months passed, it hasn't come out yet. WTF really! This phone has gotten too much hype..... I'm tired of waiting and i'm opting another cellphone.

I'm 1st time giving comment here...
I'm using W880i now...But in Walkman series that this model music a bit poor to compare to others W'series...Won't W890i will have this problem also??? What i know is before March this model will lauching in Malaysia...Even i get some news in ipoh(Malaysia) Jusco will having a grand fair...so can get very cheap price...Pls give me some suggest / advise & ans in hurry...coz i very excited to meet this & buy it...thx

Yeah, emailed sony and they confirmed that they cannot guarantee that w890 will work with 8gb, as you comment, it is set up for a max of 4gb.
Although, they cannot confirm that w880 will work with more than 2gb and I've got 4gb in my w880 at the mo! My w880 does sometimes forget what tracks it has on it. Sometimes switches itself off. Though not sure if this is due to memory card or my heavy hand. Any phone that survives a year of me does well in my books. Epecially when it's thinner than a cd case.
When I get the w890 I'll stick in the 8gb and tell you if there any probs.

on the sony ericsson developer website, it says it can only accept up to 4GB =/

the W890 white paper is now released by the SE developer site and it says::
the handset is capable of recording in QVGA @30fps.
the gsmarena model is a proto...
just like K850 protos that had 15fps video record.
