If you go to Mobile-Review.com ,u will see that in the Media Player part of the review the W900 supports Stereo Widening but i dunno if this will increase the volume .

I got this phone a couple weeks ago and am highly delighted with it. I read a lot of posts about the volume and i not loud etc.
sorry but the last time i looked it was a phone with added functionality of a really good walkman mp3 player.
Has anyone ever considered buying one off the many available portable speaker kits.
Vodafone do a few kits, and they are real loud, or what about the cable that connects it to the hi-fi?
Just my tuppence worth.

i like metal music and i wanna to buy w900 but i have heard about the bad function and low volume of w900 i wanna listen to music very very loud is this phone suitable for me i shold say that i really like this cool phone becase its really beeeeeeeeeeutifull

we dont have edge in uk as yet,,nor has push to talk taken off but i suppose they could tailor phones to there respective country & do sometimes but hspda is on its way which will hopefully give us what 3g was originally supposed to do.Also if you hold your tv or even your head phones on loud ,,vibration will be felt,,vibration travels in all three states of matter,,air, liquid ,solid ,& unless you build a product of say concrete for instance- vibration will occur & suggests how powerfull the speaker unit is in the w900i.These are pitiful things to talk about so its best you get another phone model!!!!

answer to noname: the phone does vibrate when the volume is up, the ring melody rings at the same time as mp3 when someone calls you after all many difficulties. many errors on screen amd much more, i think this is something they could have evaded by looking more to the phones quality when were making it, and they haven't puted a lot of work and pain to it's building and making, prety bad from such a fine company.
and the EDGE is something faster mobile internet download of data, good to have it by your side, or more in the mobile itself.
now i know the mobile isn't to good in quality but i would give it 4 out of 5 stars because it has many fine functions and great shape, look.
the only minus or disadvantage is it works a little bit slowly when under full memory capacity usage and costs a bit much.

well at the moment i have a sony ericsson an older verson and my dad said he ll get a new phone for me if i have more txt (contract) so i have been looking at these phones and i think it one of the best phones out

What do u find bout ur new phone? is that phone having the same problems as thay said, such as:
1. when u turn the column to the loudest the phone/keypad will become vibrate?
2. when the mp3 song is playing n there's incoming call, will the phone ring as normal?
3. have u used any "flip" phone? will that "flip" become NOT sensitive after few years of using?
4. heard people complains about SE phone always having some software errors...does ur phone facing that as well...??

Yeah I got one already since yesterday! White color as I think it's more attractive although a lot of peoples say that easy to be dirty and collect dust. Not really as the surface is smooth and I always put into my pocket. :> The MP3 is work well especailly u hear with ear pieces. Heavy phone but get used to it le as I had Motorola E1000 previously, I am glad this 3G phone still able to be trade in for S$300.00 Wow...so I quickly buy this one while the trade in price is reduced. :> I only feel the Video call is not so clear but camera is work almost like a digital camera. So if u r looking to have a good camera and MP3 for a phone, yes U need this one. Hopr this phone will bring more happiness to all user. I am glad to have it here! Cheers ~

HI,
I'm looking at getting this phone next month. EVerything seems fine with it except I'm a little worried by the speaker thing. Can you all clarify please. Is it the volume of incoming calls or when you are playing music?

well,i'm big fan of the sonyericsson family.i love te sonyericsson brands n also i cud boast of the intelligents they ve imposed in phones topday.i just wanna know if the w900 is the best phone for musis cos i'm a music freak.
i want to know also if it cud accomodate over 300 musicz and videos.i ve seein some complaint abt the speaker sayin is to soft and also not loud enough.plz do reply me.tanks.

saagaar>>>qvga stands for quarter video graphics array,,,vga is equated to 640 x 480 pixels and is an old monitor size screen standard & qvga is 320 x 240 pixels size.This gives a bigger video size than usual camfones which use the qcif size video capture.To elaborate qcif stands for quarter complimentary intermediate format where as cif is 352 x 288 pixels & qcif is 176 x 144 pixels.This w900i has an nvidia graphics chip in it that allows the phones to capture 30 frames per second video which is television standard rate of fps most other fones are only 15 fps & the moto v635 has only 7 fps.This is still a long way from camcorder quality but good enough for playing on comp and the super lucid screen of the w900i.As to the loudspeaker issue mine varies from tele audio which is not loud but i use the earpiece anyway but most of my mp3 are superb ly crystal clear and id say fairly loud

SE W550 is better or W600 is better? Why this both phone is same? W900 is really the loudspeaker is not loud? I think if W550 or W660 have 3G i think i will be better...

to arash.your phone need the new firmware or your speaker phone damaged.my w900 do not happened like yours.the sound is quite slow and the keypad vibrate when sound is play.
but i want to know is that allright if the keypad become vibrate when you play the mp3.with the loudspeaker???
