GREAT PHONE !! i've used the W800i .. then used the nokia N70(amazing phone) but after using the w900i.. i have to say its the best phone out there.. the 180'degree slide is actually not bad .. also very unique. the screen is nice, camera is good, just a little better than the N70. W900i most recommended if not, then get the N70 .. again this phone is the perfect phone, use it and find out for urself!!

oh well.. another day... still no quality signal for the free tv offered by vodafone. I have tried it several locations and sky tv is terrible... only once managed to view a 2 minute piece of footage before the gremlins overtook! I believe this has more to do with how 3g works though... too many people using it clogs up the network space?
Anyway... still very unsure with voda's white version... any mark will show up... superb phone, don't get me wrong.. the features are cracking.. some dissapointments though, I can not get several web pages that my mate can with his N70 smart phone. also battery life aint that great but this maybee because it's only been charged twice (I wonder how much the tv takes out of it?).
Although I was itching to get one early & the contract is superb value.. I will probably return it for the W800 or even D600 where I can get a 12 month contract & see what improvemets are about next christmas!!!
I hear O2 have been piloting real time tv in Oxford... looks interesting... BBC & ITV on your phone.
Overall if you want an MP3 player, 2 meg Camera, games & phone in one this is for you... but after having it I think I will stick with seperates... a spare pocket is definitly reqd for this phone to save it getting damaged too easily, as for the swivel mechanism... very good, better than imagined.. seems sturdy & swishing blades noise is heard when opened... but again white is only for the imaculate out there.. grubby mits like mine, or people who have a tendancy to spoil things.. keep well away.

Just wanted to say that this is a fantastic phone! Its not as big as people make out to be-keypad is perfect for people with large hands but strangely it actualy feels light! got nearly 500mb of memory! menu is very fast-also there are differences from W800-firstly, the W900 records video much better on scale with Nokia N70-secondly it has a much more advanced web browser, i dont know what they use but you can go to Ebay and hotmail (real internet), thirdly its way cool! iwas considering this phone or Nokia N70 or Moto V3X-the battery time is 3 times better than other too-however, Nokia N70 better for Web browsing/smart phone, but freezes at least twice a day, and, battery life is rubbish-the V3X is a beautifull phone but to customized by networks and battery life is terrible plus no radio and problems with bluetooth

all ive gone on about in my house is getting white version but after earlier post may as well go for black version.Someone said white version is dearer,,the cheeky blighters its the same plastic!!!the cheapest in uk sim free at present is £459 but carfone are doing it for £379 but not yet announced & going by the posts below it looks like a shortage is in the pipeline.I feel sorry for the people unable to get the x box 360 for xmas,& theres nowt you can do about it

Not much of a diffirence as compared to W800i wide screen and remote control headphone which is not that gr8 and they are charging more than what it shuld have been didnt expected that expensive in comparison with W800i. also they SE is not giving memory stick. shuld have come up with 3MP and 16 million colors with current memory space against N92 which is comin with above features. wuld have been a good competition.

That doesn't sound good! Just though the white one looks abit more classy than the black one. I no what ur saying mind u about it getting scratched. I guess maybe you need to just treat it more like and mp3 now like an ipod. Maybe just keep my old phone to for taking to the pub. Apart from that, how else has it been. How's the camera and 3G? And the swivel design is good or just a pain?

Have you tried your local vaod store... also the free tv until jan 31st... quite frustrating, only mtv trailers seem to work well on my phone... sky sports & news are terrible. I may well take back under the 14 day policy.
Also can't get my head around how white it is.... sooooo easy to get dirty (so many different whites & materials on the phone).... too scared of using it down the pub also in fear it not being robust enough... 15 pints and finding the phone in a pocket full of change the following morning... scratched to hell!
Sad I know but my now 14 month old v3 is still great.. sure the outside is scuffed but once open it's like new.... I am really quite affreaid on how easy this will mark/scratch... looks like i'm talking myself into returning it... at least until voda do the black one!

AMOS I know what u mean, I've had so much hastle getting this phone. I ordered it on the lauch date the 8th from vodafone telesales. I was told I would get it on monday. Monday came, no phone! phoned them again and they said it would be tue. Tue came no phone! Phoned them again and they said that they are sold out!! Even though I must have been one of the 1st to place the order and non one thought of phoning me! Getting a bit annoyed now, to say the least. They have promised me Thurs now. If I don't get it on Thurs, I'm defo canceling it. I don't care how good it is, didn't get the hastle with 02.

It reads good.I had a problem making calls during off peak hours with the K750i that I even suggested Sony Ericson's are cameras and radios first and then phones after.I want this one 4 Christmas.

I brought the phone from our local vodafone store yesterday... they had a few left (delivered on Saturday morning).
Strange but vodafone web deals hold different stock to vodafone telesales who also hold different stock to upgrades.... even stranger... the high street stores also have a completely different stock holding... I have been told it's the luck of the draw.
Anyway, the w900 has been available to order online from voda's store since last Thursday (date of release) however when you contact the 08080 etc number for web sales... they informed me they could beat the online web deal... but not until the phone was in stock... first the 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th & now 16th... I was then told that if I ordered from their website I would still have to wait as they too were delayed.
Fed-up of waiting I visited our local store yesterday to grab myself the w800... although the w900 was not on display, I was told they did have a few in.. arrived on Saturday... deal done... matched the webs 500 mins any network exclusive tarrif and chucked in £100 credit on the account, to offset the £50 they said they had to charge for the phone... 6 months 1/2 price line rental, 50 mins free video calling for life, 100 texts pm free, stc & passport & 3 months free insurance... all for £40 per month.... carphone warehouse, phones 4u can't touch this deal... also the w900i is exclusive to voda for dec & jan... I still prefer the black one though!
tv is hit and miss at present also.. quite dissapointed!

Hi all Sony ericsson supporter...
I'm planning to switch phone from Samsung to SE. But lately, i realize that SE phone can't turn off the "mobile services provider" name in the main screen. Which mean, whatever picture u put as wallpaper, the services provider's name will block the wallpaper. Is there anyway to turn the services provider's name off?
I have search thru my friend's W800i, but have no luck.

Just got the white one from local voadafone store here in England, they even beat vdafones own website exclusive deal!
still undicided about the phone at present... superb quality but why in white vodafone!
The phone is far more compact than first thought, and you don't need to open her up to make or receive calls.. bonus

i´m going to get one , but i dont know , the w800i or the w900i, the w800 look like more like a solid phone, the 180º of the w900i and the screnn make me decide for w800i, i know it is smaller, but the battery life is longer , i dont know, any comments...?

I'm confused because on the english websites they only sell the black version and the white version has not been released yet. The black version is 463 pounds, i am waiting for the white because i think it looks better

i had it in my hands it's such a cool phone!!!
first in europe we can only get the white version and only in vodaphone shops!
but in january black version will come!
