the stuff i only like about this w900 is that it has 72 chord polyphony and it has Up to 8 h 40 min battery life, also the offline mode. :) but still i'll go with 3250 cuz dats wat i can only afford by 1st qtr next year... otherwise i'll get N80.. (sigh)

well yeah , i won't like to pay the whole price for a phone !! then the next day i see it with my servant juss cuz the price went down :S i know ppl are equal :)) but i was giving you an example of how bad i feel after buying a nokia crap. and btw n80 is a brick :D

(think on ur own like: N80 3mpx camm; W900 2mpx cam; N80 OS = symbian; W900 OS = sony proprietary; N80 portability = portable & light; w900 = bulky & a bit heavy; N80 supports uPnP, W900 does not support uPnP; N80 screen res 352 x 416 pixels, W900 screen res 240 x 320, and so on..) now ask urself which one u'll get. im juz helping out others to choose which phone is better by giving in depth comparison.

The specs in here, since the W900 is UTMS, shouldn't the data speeds be up to 384k?

i was just wondering. does the w900 have the same speaker as on the w550. if not, is it better or worse speakers than on the w550. i just bought the w550 a week ago cuz i couldnt wait for w900 but im still debating on getting the w900 or just keep my w550.

W900 has higher internal memory than w800 though it may not be too much of a difference since u can use memory card for w800 too. w900 is also 3g and u can download music from over the air.

Hey guys, do u think i should get the w800 or wait for the w900, i dont see any difference between them other than that w900 has 8x zoom and the w800 has 4x zoom. Can anyone tell me which one should i get and what other differences between them that i missed out on.

Thanks every1 for your help...but ill still try and consider the 2....and if anyone can help or giv an opinion between the n80 an the w900 plz do..thanks.......smartphone--walkman pnoe----which i better??......i need 1 widmusic..planty of memory..goodcamera.....not bigger than w900..can sum1 giv an alternativ 2 the 2..plz..wich is alredy out..thank again..

Its quite clear you have a bit of a soft spot for Nokias. But if you're gonna compare phones from 2 manufacturers, how about comparing smartphones with smartphones and not trying to big up Nokia by comparing the N80 smartphone with a non-smart walkman phone. Its like comparing a Ferrari with a Fiat. 2 different products made for 2 different markets. Therefore uncomparable.
So, lets compare the W900 with its closest recent Nokia competitor - the N91. The specs are actually quite similar so why get so defensive over one or the other and even resort to trying to sway peoples judgement with unfair comparisons?
You see, my main worry about the N91 would be that all it would take is 1 drop on the floor and its bye bye microdrive whereas if the W900 is like its brothers and sisters it will take a good battering before giving up......So if I were to choose between the 2, solely based on spec and not design, I'd choose the sony for that reason. If I was choosing based on design, I'd also choose the Sony.
But my big question for you is - Is there ever an answer to which is the best phone when they are so similar in spec so it boils down to personal taste? Just accept that not everyone thinks the same thoughts as you and stop wasting your life away with pointless arguments.

i had the nokia 6600 when it first released , after a short time its juss so old cuz bunch of phones are released and the price went down that even the security men of the college has my phone :D
that sucks and for me , i am not going for nokia gain !!

Sony Ericsson has definitly put the sony walkman capability to good use, its design matched the quality of the inside which with these two combinations, would equal $DoLLar$ for sony Ericsson. Clearly at the moment theres no stopping SE, and so they should keep the momentum swinging cause i and much others love there futuristic phones

Specially the best. It can be really what we are waiting for. a little big and heavy but still pretty enough to buy. its specifications and feautures are awesoome. no wonder w900 and w800 are the best mobile phones that exist in the market. sonyericsson has greate graphic and flash menus. you dont believe how the menus change. it was really outstanding at the first time when I saw that. Nokia cant copmete with w-series. Nokia phones are always big, expensive, poor in design and with no attraction. they always say we have symbian on our mobiles. who care about symbian? its good but still not enough to buy it. sonyericsson has all in one. it has a great cam (absolutely the best in ordinary mobiles), great mp3 player, beautiful design, best lcd quality and ...
that means when you have w800 or w900 you have:
1- An Ipod
2- A canon Digital Cam
3- A Nokia Mobile Phone
... all in one... in w800 or w900

N6280 is no where near to SE W900.
Software on N6280 is still buggy until this day. The slider is horrible. Samsung still has the best slider in the industry.
W900 is far superior quality than N6280. Have tested both units before.
In addition, Nokia built quality has dropped tremendously. They make toy phones... SE on the other hand, make quality phones. SE do not rush to launch many models as Nokia. Guess Nokia is feeling the competition catching up to them.
Did you realise that the new Nokia range of phones look so similar to SE T630 and RIM BlackBerry device in terms of shape and design? Has Nokia lost their edge in innovatiness and start copying others?
