You dOnt realy have to download new firmware unless ur fone is acting up or if you want jus update for the fun of it,updating can improve somethings and ruin others,apparently the latest firmware for the W900 improves the video performance in bothe recording and playback.im nt sure about downloading movies,bt ye u can convert the ones u have

1. Do I HAVE TO download new firmware? What for?
2. Is there a site where I can download full movies or do I have to convert movie files into .3gp/.mp4?

sumthn u gta rememba is that the W900 is ova a year old and that wen it came out most 3G phones were huge in size,and sumthn else u gta kp in mind is that its a swivel phone and N73 is a candybar fone, swivels tend to b bigger e.g 7373, S700-(wich is a little bit bigger than W900 and is wat W900 is based on) also the S600 and W550/W600 wich are pretty thick phones. nw W900 is A 3G SWIVEL so id say its a gud size

i ws amazed how big this handset was when my freind got it, the N73 is slimmer than this handset.

YAY ITS MY B-DAY TODAY!! jus got my memory stick unfortunetly they didnt hav 2gig or 4gig in stock for PRO DUO so i got a 1gig! stil happy thou!! yay! i wont be ere til sunday most probably! GOIN TO PARTAY!! PS: W900 IS BOSS!

Yow im close to you bra,im in Dainfern @ Frooty,and im nt to sure how much Vodaworld charges for fones man. lol no problem man @ w900i user,thanx for the info,im gna try to update my firmware nw,im taking my fone to Vodaworld for the firmware update and screen cleaning

I dont feel any changes with the video recording even thought the latest firmware. Still look so hizzy.

it a very very good phone .i like so much.but i feel that video recording is little hizzy (the video isnt so clear).so is new firmware will fix this or what?

Go n download the Sony Ericsson Update Service(SEUS)then install it. Use the USB fast-port connect your phone then follow the step by given on the Update Service.
