i just saw this phone as a model in a phone shop for the frst time ! its really big and bulky :O when its closed its nicer but wen opened its nearly as big as my feet :| disappionting size because its actually a great set ! cnt wait till SE850i cums out woohoo !!!!!!!!

Had the fone now for some time IM REALLY happy with it, it does everything i want a fone to do and more, the camera is GREAT!! id say beda than the N80, but ya the only thing is that the battery doesnt last as long as id hoped it would but one little sacrifice for such great quality.

No you cannot listen to the radio on loud speaker. i dunno why but i believe its because the headset that can the radio signals.
but why listen to radio when you hav a massive memory base where you can load all your favorites?

Just got my w900 yesterday. I have owned every other walkman phone sony has released, and for functionality, none come close to the 900. However, like someone below me said, the w810 has a MUCH more practical design, and is extremely well built. (And nice and compact too) However, if you can get over the size issue, and the price, the w900 is an excellent phone. AND, it is one of the few phones that can compete with Samsung's video recording. The 900 is 30 FPS! (frames per second). Anyway, to the rest of you w900 owners, is there any way to play the radio through the phone's speaker? Or am I limited to the headphones? Thanks!

I really like to buy this phone since I find it compatible with my personality....I hope this would be very affordable.

I've had my W900 for about 4 months now. I love it and I hate it.
The phone functions very well overall (except for the problems noted below). It gives great sound, and great call quality and the battery lasts forever (typically 2 to 3 days even with hard use).
However...
The phone turns itself off sometimes when opened, or the software crashes requiring two hardboots to get it to restart. Also, sometimes the phone just turns itself off. Period.
The Sony headphone plug (to the phone) continually pops out of the phone, so suddenly music is playing out of the speakers instead of through the headphones. Irritating to say the least.
The phone is too heavy to use with the Desk Stand (despite the staff at the Sony Ericsson shop telling me it was perfectly compatible).
The Sony memory sticks are not as good a solution as regular SD sticks.
Despite the things I like about this phone, Sony Ericsson has lost a customer. Too many little headaches that are constant irritants.

ive had my w900i for a few months and just got it debranded
now it kicks ass its the battery lasts alot longer, its menu 10x faster in every way the camera isnt sketchy when doing videos, i can put in my own web browser instead of it being the network providers,it doesnt freeze or crash on start up its like a whole new phone i recommend anyone having any trouble with theirs just get it debranded and it will sort out any glitches it has

I give this phone two thumbs up! on features and performance but design one thumb 2mp camera, music, memory and internet browsing.i've had it for over 1 month it's the best one i've had so far(motv620,panx70,sam.d500) it's great phone to buy for features for design buy the w810!!

ı have a w900i
it doesnt play wma but the program that comes with it (disc2phone) converts to mp3
doesnt play real media files (.rm)
reactions are too slow
its too big
the volume is not enough
5 band equalyzer must be 9 or 11 bands

i am confused, people said W900 does not support WMA.....but according to:

(download W900's white paper, got to PLAYNOW)
it included WMA...but im not sure what is means, any1 mind checkin and explainin?? thank u...

do not buy this phone off of ebay! if you get white screen of death, SONY will not fix it!

I see the W900i has now officially been labelled "limited editon" due to international stock shortages!!! My friend and I use W900's and let me affirm: this handset is really super-fantastic! I've yet to experience any problems. My W900 has only given me much joy and quality service.
