So what exactly Shake control feature is good for?
To drop it from our hands when we simultaneously push the Walkman button and shake it like a maniacs, instead of one click of the D-pad?
This SE's "revolutionary invention" is only good to be forgotten.

I got my sony w910 about a week ago and really like it, its easy to use, has all the functions I require and came with a 1 GB memory card great value, Sony appear to have ironed out problems with previous 3G slim handsets like it doesn't get hot and doesn't drain the battery im very impressed camera isn't amazing though but great outdoors

hey, eternalwind, i guess ur just pretty unlucky. for the 7 hours thing, since u bought it from another country u might have just bought a faulty set, and not everyone has the same problems as u. as for the audio, u have to make sure that u plug the cable in tightly and correctly, if it seems too soft try adjusting the connector, after a lot of use it'll get less sensitive and quite hard to plug in properly. audio sucks? have u tried to listen the exact same piece of music with the W910i and another fone? or maybe ur music is of low quality and thats why it sucks.
and for those people who keep complaining about the lag of the fone if u bought it quite early, go patch its firmware with SEUS (sony ericsson update service) before you start insulting the phone. the newest firmware is MUCH faster than the first one, especially if u bought it like me, when it was launched. and if ur fone has unusual problems like an extremely short battery life or random errors or whatever, just count yourself plain unlucky. i bought the black version when it was launched and have totally no problems with it. totally. and its from the first batch, mind you. after patching its MUCH faster.

Ive got this phone 2 day ago.
It is greate. baterry is still very good(even I listen music all the time..)everything is funkcionig exellent!. i love big screen.
all best .. this is music phone, thats ovius.
i recomand you to buy it. in croatia it coast 390 EUR

Ive just been brousing on this specific mob. and it has a +ve response on almost all sites...really thinking of getting one of those. Always been a Nokia user!!!

Are people experiencing problems with recording video or playback of video? I like the features of this phone for the price I can get it at and I am thinking about purchasing it.

you guys might know but just to make sure for these things to improve battery life, keep BT turned off if you are not using, if it is on then it will constantly keep searching for any available device causing Power amplifier to run and drain the battery, also if you just using voice call try to turn off the 3G mode and see the difference.

3 days ago?? you must be lying, Nowadays all of W910i phones must be in the newer version...
HSDPA enabled, problems sloved,etc...
I updated my phone to the newest software and the results are amazing..
My battery last longer than before, no more freezing, performance improved, Lagging decreased, sound engine also improved,etc..

I got this phone 3 days ago; and I'm really not impressed. The sound quality is extreamly poor, you can't hear a word of the song you're listning to. The camera, is of poor quality, and has no flash for the phone itself doesn't have a light! Also there are many technical dificulities with freezing software, and the buttons going in the wrong direction. All in all, i wouldn't reckomend this phone to my worst enemy.

Just recently bought the Sony Ericsson WA910i and i was not impress with the sound quality as it was described to be i compared this phone with a W580i and the 580 sound quality was excellent, has anyone got that problem or is it just my imagination other than that the phone is great

According to our experiment, we can conclude that;
1.w910i hav a serious problem with the video-especially MP4 format.We found that, the video is stuck, but no prob with the audio.
2.when we put 4Gb M2 in this phone, we can noticed that the performance is very bad (slower than nokia N-siries).
3.M2 slot..we noticed that several times, the phone can't detect M2 due to soft cover that push out m2 from it place even with light touch to the m2 soft cover.Sony Eric must take action on this.
Overall, it still a cool and best exterior design and interface....i luv it.

I also work in a phone shop and this phone is one of the best phones ever. Hence why it won best handset of 2008!! I am very surprised as to all the complaints, as for freezing and software problems it is probably a problem with the software the provider loads onto the phone. As for battery life we all know Sony's are the best on the market for battery life, mine gets at least 3-5 days standby. Lets hope that sony keeps bringing out amazing phones like this, as they are

i encounter a prob regarding for the wallpaper
i try to set but it show up memory full and cannot use the file and ask me to del some file 1st
i m using a 2g sandisk and still got 800+ mb and phone memory got 28mb...
dont know y will show tis error msg and hav oredi try many pic
pls someone help me for tis prob

everyone with the battery problems, this can be fixed by turning off the 3G when not using it, only charging the battery when it's really low, and turning the backlight settings on 5 seconds. You can also considering getting a special extended battery for this phone if you want longer battery life.

im very disappointed with the battery life & the fact it does not have a flash.Apart from that its really not as bad as some of you say.
