i recently bought a W910i phone and im very satisfied with the features and the color( i hope there was color white) but red is also ok except for one thing...i thought this phone has WLAN wherein i can surf the net using it but it doesnt..

It looks really nice... planning to purchase. However, I can say that sony ericson w580i is simply awesome which I've been using. voice clarity, music picture evrything is just marvelous.

As promised, here are the differences in the new firmware (at least the ones i noticed so far).
Note that i had R1EA031 and updated to R1EA033 so this is by no means a major update.
-The first thing that i noticed is that the software seems more compatible with the accelerometer. Media Player rotate is much faster and flash backgrounds that works with the motion sensor seem much faster and more accurate/precise.
-The internet globe appears on top of J2Me porgrams that use the internet (Opera mini, Yahoo GO, games) when they are using the internet. It appears on the top right corner.
-Theme reset seems gone. When you have a theme on the memory card using R1DA038 or R1EA031, it would eventually freeze the phone and the original theme would come on. Ive been using it for a day now and still nothing. This also used to happen when you have a game or a wallpaper on the memory card. I do suggest that themes be put on the phone memory anyway as the phone memory is much faster than the memory card so you will not have any slow downs or freezes whatsoever.
-Media player has NOT been speeded up yet, especially when you are using a stereo bluetooth headset. And picture and video rotate are still at the same speed (the speed is ok actually).
THINGS I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IN MAJOR UPDATES IN THE NEAR FUTURE:
-Ability to use phone memory to increase RAM (cummon SE this phone still uses 1MB RAM like all other JAVA based phones)
-Icon and menu changes like the C902 (this is very possible because ethey are both A200 but if this will ever happen i dont think they will do it till the C902 is out)
-Face detection: A blessing in all cameras, this is also possible for the same reason as above and that any phone with a cam can have face detection as it is a software thing not a hardware thing
-Although i love the flash in this phone i would like SE not to darken everything in the background so that only the subject appears in the picture, also i would like to see an option where you can force the flash on to use it as a fill light when the light is coming from behind the subject an the subject is dark.
-I would like the ability to chose between the xenon flash and the LED flash on still photos, the LED would help if you are using BESTPIC.
Yes this is asking alot but all the above are possible, lets hope to see them in the future on this already great phone

Please help.....
I am considering getting this phone but am not sure about it's qualities and if it is worth it's price tag.
The phones I am considering are W910 V640 and Nokia N95.
I am a big texter and would like a phone that is fast and able to keep up not like Motorola's!! I also take lots of photo's of my daughter.
Which do you think would be the best option for me?????

i have some question about w910 many people say the phone shut down or restart alone it is real ? and d keypad many crack it's real too ? because many say bad phone and other say it's good phone. hope anybody can help with real opinion sory for my bad english thanx for the answer

very bad phone. very low volume. no flash . no zooming available. front camera is just for show.... nothing special. wastage of money.

you should get a nokia n73 or n82 or maybe sony ericsson w760 other than this cause its not really good the sliding mechanism sucks to the maxxxxx....

got the phone in Jan and so far, i've given it for repairing twice...
basically, i got a faulty device...
- phone looks haWt!!
- sound is great fer me cuz i wuz using the nokia 5300 Xpress music before this.
- camera is ok-ish.
- memory is G R E A T!!
- its super sleek so texting is a wee bit difficult.
- slider isnt wobbly at all!!
- still havent figured out the senseME thingy..
- no return key but it doesn't make any difference. its better.
- the shake thing is a bit difficult. the w580i shake is a little more simpler.
all in all, i love this phone cuz its by far the hawteSt phone E V E R!
so even if i've had problems, i'm still PRO w910i

bought this phone in nov'07.. trade if off today (apr08). It keeps having the problem of shutting it off. I really don't understand. You need to removed the battery to turn it on otherwise, it simply refuse to let you turn it on. ??? puzzle??

I've had the phone for about 6 months now, during that time it's turned itself off maybe 3 times, bit annoying but it wouldn't be the first phone to do that.
What does annoy me is that sometimes it refuses to access files from the memory stick (games or music). This happens once in a while but is annoying.
To those people who say the sound sucks, use the headphones. If you want to play music from speakers buy some speakers. I've never understood why people insist on audiophile sound from their phone speakers.

Basically everything is good except the ear piece volume too low & the microphone absorb too much of the surrounding sound so that the opposite party will have a difficult time hearing when you are in a noisy place/area!
