Bought the phone 2wks ago, absolutely fell in love with it, music sounds great, excellent picture quality until it froze after a week, it happened to reset it self until today where it decided to keep switching on and off repeatedly now its completely locked up, very dissapointed now, plus the fact that the battery wears down very quickly, not one of your better phones Sony Ericsson!

want this phone because of its large screen ,very suitable to watch videos( i have about 2G of spectacular/sensational clips on my w700),and it seems some people can't distinguish the clear metallic sound , unique & proper to most SE models.this phone is the slimmest but with the largest screen combination , sony erisson product.

Seriously this phone can play music... if your looking for excellent top notch sound BUY AN IPOD or something... primarily it is a phone with other added features i.e. walkman funtions... Walkman brand means it has the walkman player allowing u to arrange songs in playlists and artists etc NOT that it contains top of the line 3cm speaker so u can blast everyone away with ur poor taste in music.

I like this phone and I want to have one for me but there are a lot bad side comments on this phone..actually this phone is not yet available here in the Philippines. It will be available next year 2008. i own a w810i and I admit that the speakers are not that loud compare to other phones but it's quality is very clear. i believe it's one of SE power saving techniques =) how i hope the w910i will satisfy me just like my w810i.

True, anyone here that totes a Nokia and blasts music here is shunned because the quality is so sh|t.
Useability, design and features are just unmatched by SE in reality, not on paper or in a world where the latest technology is available.
Canada is the standard of the world now, simple video calling, text messaging, data useages, phone calls and cross-country free long distance. That's what it's all about.
In that kind of world, Nokia dies, and SE, Motorola and Samsung thrive. Also sometimes even LG too.
PW9x-
Nokia is sure hardware friendly, but not ergonomically or useably friendly. Sure they have 3.5mm jacks, but if the phone has a headset that works already, or the speakers are sufficient, or people already have BT stereo headsets to replace the wires, then Nokia's attempt at being musically friendly is deemed useless. There are many ways around a 3.5mm jack, and SE gives up the MOST EFFICIENT way to get over it by letting their own headphones be swapped for another pair while keeping the headset mic.
Motorola comes in second, choosing MiniB USB as their port, because there are MiniB > 3.5mm jack adaptors around.
Anyway, on that fact, I don't see why Nokia deems their phones music phones when they can't even live up to the wear and tear of MP3 players unlike SonyEricsson's Walkman series. They even have a whole series of accessories you would use as if they were accessories that you would use for your MP3 player, that is, if you bought Sony. The Sony experience doesn't just stop at the MP3 player, it continues with it's many add-ons, which when included, I think is great. Nokia has a few of their own innovations, but they're just over priced and never included within the phone package, which is why usually no one ever goes to Nokia for wireless or audio mobile solutions.
If you go look at your local Best Buy, Future Shop, Circuit City, etc. you'll see more solutions from Motorola then SE, and more SE then Nokia. The ratio goes as followed 5:2:0.
Music is getting wireless now, so sooner or later, 3.5mm jacks will be just as insolent as FM radio, and people will start calling others stupid, just for asking for a 3.5mm jack.
In the world of MP3 players, the ante has been upped by including bluetooth stereo wireless connections for enhanced music experience.
For cellphones, it should've happened long before it came to MP3 players, but it seems like Nokia just likes to keep it simple. Pretty slow if you ask me, because SE and Motorola are already up there making wireless bluetooth music, WITH QUALITY. (I know Nokia has a wireless bluetooth headset, but it's quality is no better then the Motorola S9, but even then, I prefer the S9 because the Nokia solution is just too big to call.. practical.)

@matt
W910's audio quality isn't on par with the solution form other manufacturers like i450, N81, N91, 5310/5610.
I don't even understand why SE positions it as a music phone even though it lacks true 3.5mm jack and decent audio quality.

i know that walkman's sounds quality isn't that good when you connect to your HI-FI system and when use another headset outside the HPM-70 in retail package.... but i don't mind that.... that's the THE BEST YOU CAN GET in mobile phone package... in NOKIA 5310 retail package , you'll get a cheap headset from NOKIA... the quality is very2 average... than you should waste your money again to buy a good headset... that's why people still love WALKMAN phones... because they gave the best package for music experience...

will people PLEASE stop criticising phones for their poor loudspeakers? they're PHONES, not GHETTO BLASTERS. if you listen to music through the speaker on your phone you are a fool. buy some headphones and listen to music in the way that is was meant to be listened to, NOT FROM A 3CM SPEAKER ON A PHONE.
^^^i AGREE WITH THAT....were im from...THUGS with NOKIAS and STEREO SPEAKERS are forever BLasting crap music from there STEREO SPEAKRS..its sooo annnnnoying...this is why Nokia is CRAP
THIS IS Why SE RULES!! ...

T30H (DaveS)-
Still, some phones that are lower quality and lower in range have better and louder speakers. Don't you feel down when they can blast music louder then you, esp. when your phone is better then their's?
my friends have some LG's and Samsung's that rock music louder then a W810.
It'd be nice too if this W910 could work out without a stereo add on, and still have the power to go on throughout the day.

It is quite a nice phone with a good screen, however the speaker is extremely poor (my w710i has so much better sound quality when comparing them both, I'm amazed this is a w-series) and the phone also feels like it is made with cheap plastic and it also feels fragile.

the phone does not ave a flash but its a great camera anyway.
takes great pics in the day and with night mode u can take pictures in dimmer light.
i have owned this fone for about a week now and its working perfectly. i love all the little functions it as. and it as motion sensors on it so wen u tilt the phone it tilts the screan aswell. pretty cool i thought. and sense me is a great feature. and u can shake the fone and it will change tracks in music mode.
nice design to this phone. i had a w810i before this and the w910i is a much better fone all around. the screan is massive. nice and clear bright and everything you need.
get this phone its well worth the cash.
