I think this a perfect phone for professionals. Why do you need a camera in all phones, there are 100 phones available with camera.
At least leave this phone without camera, is useful for professionals were camera phone is banned in the company. It would be great if Sony Ericsson can make more phone without camera, but all other features should be there.

a 3G phone without camera capability is like computer without internet..
yeah sure it doesnt define 3G..but why built for 3G if u dont have a camera

Well this is a nice phone, but i think it has to come with a camera. or can it go with an external camera? 4gb internal memory is very large for storage.

I agree - a camera is required to make an exelent phone.
In this case the absence of camera becomes indeed anoying.

Sony ericsson why release a phone without a camera?, and the people who say phones are only to make phone calls should stick to there old tacky phones. Cameras are useful on phones bcoz you cant carry a digital camera with you everywhere.

Why everyone thinks 3G phones are meant only for making video calls? 3G represents that the phone is capable of transferring data at faster rates than 2G and EDGE phones. So, 3G is not just for video calls!

dvd8... even if this phone has no camera, it does not mean that you can't put photos and videos in... you can always use USB to transfer music, photos, videos. So, don't worry so much about not having camera. After all, without the camera, you can consider this phone more seriously as mp3 and video player, or more of a PDA.

well...3g is not about the video call.there is no mistake.3g is all about the data transfer speeds.video call is just sumthin tat take advantage of the data transfer as it has to send footages of wad the camera is takin at the moment really fast

Truly without camera and card slot this phone can be one of the top phones this year.
Like the user below be said there is no way tthis phone to have 3G and not to have camera.

Hmmm,a very good fone,jst it doesnt have a camera!!! I never thought Sony Ericsson would forget bout a thing like that!4GB of internal memory is nice,but you wont be able to fill it with photots or videos,unless you use something else to take them!

This phone so far loks awesome, no body needs a camera, I have a sidekick 2 right now, and I NEVER use the camera, I think this phone would rock of 4 gigs built in memory, Thats the equivalent of an ipod nano, bit with WAY more features, and WAY more battery life, I'm going to buy this when its out in america.
Anybody have a confrimed date of its release?

Thanks Sony..i had bough Ngage Classic with FM...as i had no choice to opt for phone which has fm and mp3 without camera. Camera phones not allowed in my company...This is something i wud love to buy..Thanks ..thans....launch it soon in India too.... :o)

Soon there will be multimedia gear that can shoot video, take photos, video chat, have GPS and wifi, play music and videos to even larger displays wireless and much more, and this phone is just a flash in the pan for sure.
newer phones will go from 2 to 5 mpx with there built in cameras, all in one mp3 players, PDAs display support for larger dislays, this phone simply has no future, over rated and out dated.
