SE-W950i will rock in the hands of any person of any age. It suits any gender as purple color wouldn't harm as it is on darker side of the spectrum almost black in color. The phone integrates and replaces many gadgets of the modern tech-savvy world.
It has got some drawbacks but they are trivial and can easily be overlooked.
On the positive aspects, being the best Walkman phone available it can replace a personal audio player and quench the music thirst of any person regardless of age. The display is big enough to replace a personal video player. The 4 Gb flash memory can replace a thumb drive. Symbian OS v9.1, UIQ 3.0 stylus touch screen interfaced smart phone features can replace any latest PDA or old fashioned digital diary. Flawless Java games can replace a game player in a small degree.
On negative aspects, the phone doesn't have a camera. This can be overlooked as most cameras on the mobile phones are not very good and you need a digicam if you are really inclined to photography. The phone doesn't have Wi-Fi and is big in size yet it is not heavy and thin enough to be fashionable.

@Ramzz...It's mainly designed for middle-aged people,who used walkman series 15~20 years ago,u may want to take a look at nokia 5300,5700 for your teen.

this really appears to be a great buy by all accounts, and one of my friends let me demo hers, and to those complaining about cameras have you every noticed tat its a walkman? meaning that camera isn't the high point for it.

hey folks.. i jus wanna know if this mobile looks good with a girl.. i mean.. keeping in mind the so called bulky-ness of the phone... i know its light in weight.. but still.. does it look ok 4 a teenage girl????

I guess as this is a music phone the sound and music should be better than P990i. Again it dependds on the headset aswell...The walkman headset you get with this phone is awesome.
About the sim card im not sure why it isnt copying. Try and insert another sim card in the phone. Or use the sinc software and have a luk if you can create any contacts on the pc and transfer it to the phone

Hi,i have a problem withe my W950i.
My phone dose not read my Sim Card,when i go to my contacts and go to [more--view folde-Sim] it just says (Rading from SIM) and the contacts of the sim wont show!! i tride and took my simcard out and insert it to the phone againe,but even this didn't work??!!!
Please someone help me

SonyEricsson , has the best batteries !
And W950 has a very good one , with the longest duration !
You can work heavy with it , for a day , only with one charge ! ( in normal use , you must charge your mobile , max. 3/week )
For compare , W950i works (2~3)x(Nokia 5700) , and (1.5~2)x(Nokia N95) .

again to sids :
when you use the handsfree , the sound will be unique & very good . if you transfer the sound on your phone speakers , its quality depends on your location ! if yo're in a quiet place ( like your room or car or ... ) , the sound is strong and clear , again . but when yo're in a noisy place ( like a street or a park or ... ) , the sound isn't good & usable !
anyway , the sound quality on W950i , is one of the best , in all of the mobiles & smartphones & mp3 players !
if you want to buy it , you can be sure that you won't be disappointed !

I have read the coments...is the sound of loud speaker really low?what about when we use headset?..is the sound level and quality when we use headset is good or bad?please help me ....im going to buy this tomorrow....

Please don't call me an idiot, I am just someone who does not know exactly what Wi-Fi is. Can someone enlighten me here, please? So the phone does not have Wi-Fi. So what can't it do?
