you are only looking at the features, basically w950 has all the basic video/audio phone that music geeks needed to suit their lifestyle,.. and the W950 hasn't bad constuction, it's the N91 that has, reason is the hard disk, no matter what how many shock absorbers nokia put in it, it could only minimize damage, but not to prevent it... flash memories are far more reliable than hard disk.. and N91's customers already encountered file corruption, is that the better construction you are talking?
NO AUDIO CHIP in W950? excuse me, all phones have that,.. do you think it would be possible for a phone to play audio without that? sorry but that's the kind of the marketing of nokia... they only had special and better audio chip than any other phone but all of them have audio chip...
LOWER VOLUME in W950? loud volume is only useful for speakers and earphones with no rubber caps when playing music, W950 manages to have excellent audio quality due to the use of megabass bundled with HPM-70 rubbercap earphones(the best earphone in a standard phone package) using that earphones you wont hear anythingexcept the sound in earphone no matter how low the volume is...
Crystal clear and crispy audio? both of them have that,.. maybe you didnt tested any of the walkman phones so you're saying that...
anyway if you bet N91 be winner in earphone then some test examples... using HBH-DS970 in W950 and Nokia HS-12W in N91, and the result? try it and if you say N91 is the winner i doubt that you did not test it... coz actually N91 has no A2DP profile, and the stereo bluetooth HBH-DS970 is the best bluetooth stereo headset in the market nowadays, now say again N91 has better sound quality than W950 if you tested that... then repeat the final sentence you posted...
One Note: please be technical enough to say those words as you may become so rude in bashing W950 over the N91...

n91 is not just a cell phone but a jukebox.. that why we cannot compare to w950i. n91 is so big that looks more like a jukebox than a phone... it is so ugly that i would never buy it.. w950 is not only a beautiful, it is something more than an ipod plus a very good smart phone.. ok there is no camera.. what's the problem.. u can upload ur photos and videos like ipod.. i love w950

n91? d one with the funny buttons n crooked design? wateva derz no comparison..! honestly,i dont like nokia 4 one reason:they dont have that full polished look,very cheap stuff n not my style!

To the guy below, how can you say dont buy the phone because of poor customer service. From the sound of it you had problems with the seller than a bad experience of the actual phone. Does someone messing you about and sending you a broken phone mean nobody should buy the phone from any source. Come on man, think before you post with advice.

You have a veryyyy bad taste to say this (nokia fan had to be).
The most ugly phone is the brick n91, U-G-L-Y and B-R-I-C-K
Camera, i dont need like a lot of people.
WiFi, useful, but in a device with a good battery, in a phone you can use wlan for 1 hour and later what? you must charge the phone after the hour, you must take the charger every site... charger + brick in your pocket... what a joke??
W950 is the best music device actually, no other music phone can match the W950 music capabilities... Is the best!!

Ok, i see... i also wanted to finish my involvement in this argument but then i have to say this first: i can't understand Nokia people here why they bash the lack of WIFI on W950, WIFI is the ultimate battery guzzler, another is that it will make this phone a very large brick if they used it,.. another is that some network companies offer unlimited 3G calling/browsing which is more convinient because it consumes lesser power than WIFI,.. SE has it's know-how in technology together with all mobile companies.. people could hardly understand this because they saw those features in NOKIA and HTC,.. but then they end up disappoinetd for more problems than in a usual phone.. in which it takes some time before it gets fixed up/repaired which is a regret in some early buyers for wasting money... anyway: that's only my opinion...

This phone is very cool no brands comes near to this but the main disadvantage is that it does not have camera feature

I can use Wifi connection in my University & use a 3rd party application called SymTorrent (Torrent Software) & Symella (Limewire kind of Application) & i can download anyting such as music files movies picturess basically anyting..

STOP comparing this phone to the n91! its not the same! they are aimed a different sectors. the w950 is mainly aimed at the ipod/phone marked where as the n91 is a brick aimed in all areas of the market. the w950i does not have a camera cos it designers anted it to resemble the "walkman" brand mp3 player! jesus people get the hint they are not the same phone and should not be compared! also the n91 is pathetic... sure it feature pack wifi, camera ect... but are you forgetting vodafone, orange ect have stopped setting it? that many problems they decided to cut their losses and stop selling it? personally i would give up the camera and wifi if the phone would work properly?

Personally Agree with viewtiful:
N91 would be the best music phone n terms of quality, but will not become the best selling music phone even it packs all features,.. all walkman phones have been sold very hot because of the features provided were all basically suits users, and those phones were resembling the fact that size matters,.. people won't even wear a large size multimedia phone in their pocket or even in their neck even it has a lot of features,..
in SAMSUNG, people complain the lack of 3g or Wifi in I300 series,.. but this is explainable, who in the world of music lovers needs 3G/WIFI.. only Nokia implements WiFI and etc... and some nokia fans say WIFI is used for music downloads online, could you please tell me if there is a site where you can download music files for free?...

man, u guys are, why kwwp compare these 2 gadgets? because both are 4gb n both are music phone? let tell you i just changed N91 to w950 and no regret, not because i'm SE fan, because my N91 is under nokia care for almost 2 months due to hard drive error, what about that? so do my brother and 2 of my frinds using it, all hang!!!! and let me tell you about , i currently uploaded themes for w950. And suddenly the restart!!! i thought my god is this what a 4gb phone doing ? but w950 at least says'' the phone is restarted to improve performances" eh, isn't that cool? thats mean purpose, not hang... phew, and w950 speed and resolution.
ok for sound quality i said they both fair 50/50. cause when putting earphone, they both are absolutely amazing, powerful bass, beautiful tremble, try it both working equally. Without earpiece, w950 quality better but not loud enough like the best w900, for n91, the sound is loud but quality not good.
And y compare camera????? music phones man!! nobody compare touchscreen??? eh.. haha... nobody compare thicknest?? SE knows what they doin, they concentrate on one thing and make sure the phone works good, unlike nokia, but alot of feaatures and ended up unstable and hang. w950 no camera one reasons besides its slim design is the battery, the battery might be thin enough to work with the 4gb, not camera. so no compare guys. Just use the phone that you prefers, for me, W950 goes ahead N91. However N91 is not a that bad phone too.

Who said that SAMSUNG had nothing to compared to N91, please note that SAMSUNG are the innovators of Hard-Disk phones I300,I300x,and I310, 3Gb first then followed by 4Gb and 8Gb,.. nokia fans have just invaded W950 forum...
(I don't really wanted to say this but...) Nokia just put audio chipset and 2mp camera and Wifi to beat all music phones in an effort to cover it's major problems; OS problems, Bulky, and Ugly... samsung just have better stability and OS than Nokia,. nokia fans couldn't just admit that...

hi all, its great to see everybody engaging in discussion.... just feels that there is nth to compare bet N91 n W959. a simple thing.. yeah SE phones ..in terms of tech.. there r not as good as Nokia...Nokia they r truly ahead of technology in mobile phones.... but strangely i just love SE... why? cos i think its simple, fun,cool and easy to use... most importantly the whole phone even the interface us not so serious and user friendly. guess ultimately its all bout personal preference.. jus a simple question.. how many of u would actually use all the advance menu in a phone? think..... so pls stop the argument bout which phones rules.. at my office.. lotsa ppl r switching to SE phones... from Nokia... why? simplicity and fun.... lastly.. think aobut it.... why is ipod so popular till now even if its loses out to others in technology? Answer is it knows what consumers want... something wasy n fun to use!!! get it?

NOKIA inspired by the success of n91 4gb thats why the launch new imroved 8gb phone,u have mistaken my friend.you are must joaking ha u said n91 have a average mp3,i m doughtful you never listen n91's music quality otherwise you'll never give that statement. n91 shake ur head when you put the headphone in ur ears on set a loud volume. so dont underestimate n91.ur w950 never compite to n91 at all.n91 rulz my friend.try it u wont regrate
