You are one special case. it dont need a Camera!! Why does a walkman need a camera!!!!
Answer is IT DOSNT, Its designed to replace to bricks in your pocket with one and truthfully most of the time a camera is superflus on a phone anyway.

        Well personal im looking forward to this. dont want to blocks in pocket.ipods are to weak and are about as stable as choclate fudge. Trying getting them to interface reliable with cars ahhhhhhhh. But as a few have said, sony make walkmen as a product line nokia dont the safe bett will be that this will sound better than the n91. but its all down to what you want. persoanl either will do me. this i think ill perefer.Just i lik ethe touch screen idea.

          Wever you prefer a four-way scroll key or managing files using a touchscreen, the choice is yourz... but personally i prefer the second option... maybe for the same reason as i prefer 4way scroll from 2way...

          For the HDD, the first HDD operated phone i know(sG i300) has one of the wors standby time... i guess you can deduce why... To make it short, i will ask you to simply ask 1 question:
          IF YOU WERE TO DECIDE THE N91 TO USE A HDD OR A FLASH MEMORY, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE CHOSEN, GIVE SUITABLE REASONS IF ANY... once again, i personaly prefer the second choice... Even Nokiaz are normally "Tough Phones", i won't trust any HDD phone even a nokia... I would wait at least 4 models to be launched without problems first... It does hapen that my phone hits the edge of the table when it is in amy poket... It's of those small shocks than i'm afraid... i'm not asking much...

          For "N91 is a smartphone ", they both run on the same OS... But anyway, W950 is not aimed to those lookin for a smartphone, how could you ever kill two birds in a single shot??? The W950 is for music lovers, it has to fulfil all expectations a user may have as far as it is abt music, then it may have some extras but it has a priority..

          Have you ever asked yourself why some audio devices have a better sound quality than others?? Do you think a good sound is the result of a trial and error process?? If you think it is, then i'm sure it isn't... what makes a good sound is the grade of the microchips and resistors used in the device... but the probem is that those costs a lot... Even iPod Nano does not use those chips... some Creative and most iRiver does and this explains their special pricetag...
          Sincerely, i don't expect much from the quality of the N91z sound but we'll have facts when it will be in stores...

          For the look, maybe the N91 looks more attractive and is more eye-catching but the SE has a "fat keypad"... actually they are more likely to be sensors than keys... somehow special... If therz one thing i really appreciate wiv the N91, it's that nokia has designed it as it's old successful phones, a hybrid of 8210 and 8850...

          Both are great phones, but if you are a genuine MusicLover... maybe youd better go for the W950 and you know why...

              The problem with nokia is they make all-in-one phones, but average all-in-one phones.
              Average camera, average sound quality, average OS, average batt life, etc.
              SE takes other way, they focalized their production to market segments, photographic segment (the stunning 3Mpix K800/K790 Cyber-shot), music segment (All Walkman phones, with his flagship W950), in this segment this phones functions its bring the best sound quality in the market with easier mp3 player setup, UiQ 3.0 with touchscreen and great batt life (coz 4Gb flash memory) (W950).

                btw.. havin a camera in a phone is really handy, but it is not always good. U'd rather to buy a real digital camera instead. With 200 bucks, u can buy a perfect 3.2 MP camera.

                  You know what? N91 missed one of the MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE for a music device. Have a guess..... BATTERY LIFE!!! look.. you don't want to have a music device last for 4 hours...it just simply too short. W950 perform 2 times better, which means, as a music device, W950 fullfill all of the requirement, makes it a complete music device with smartphones, not half music device with smartphones n camera n wiFi (N91). Preference is up to urs.. btw.. i prefer navigating my music with touchscreen. Fourway dial is too old fashion.. even my K700 can do so. In a review it is said.. it is a new resolution for a music device, never been invented before :p i think its by mobile review or sthing

                      touch screen is just a way of navigating like a four-way scroll key and is really not to be considered in the advantages of a phone. Most ppl prefer nontouch screen phones as they r more convenient and can be used with one hand. As far as the hdd is concerned i know that it is fragile and all but it really doesnt matter cuz the bottomline is that u have 4gigs for ur use no matter wat type of memory and u rnt really gonna be playing football with ur phone that u r concerned about the fragility of it. And yeah W950 has flash memory but that also does have its disadvantages as it sometimes formats itself automatically if u get some kinds of errors or something and u can lose a lot of ur precious data. Apart from that N91 is a smartphone and u CAN install MANY navigation softwares for the songs u have in ur phone according to ur needs so that really doesnt matter if it doesnt have a navigation system for media files. And plz do not make assumptions that "most pro*a*ly it has better sound quality than N91" as both phones r yet to be released and nokia is also using the same marketing strategy that it is aimed at music lovers so it will also have nice sound quality. And N91 also has partly steel body like the 8800 to give it a more graceful look. So it is useless in comparing W950 and N91 as N91 is a true legend with no feature missing.

                        its a gd fone and if ur that bothered about a camera, invest in a pocket sized one- camera is jst an xtra feature on fones which reli aren't dat good so invest in something that concentrate on dat area and neway am sure dat SE will bring out a newer version or camera attachment

                                Yup, surely they could have added a 2mp camera... but they didn't and, as i already said, it had a purpose... To reduce the cost... This phone is for MusicLovers ONLY... it is not aimed to the mass market... you must undestand the strategy of SE, they want a phone for each category of person...
                                If you think you prefer the N91 simply for it has a camera, the w950 is therefore not aimed at you... but you should also consider the fact that the w950 has a scroll, a touchscreen and most probably a much better sound quality... instead of paying some more $$ for a 2mp camera, a MusicLover would have prefered(better sound quality) chips which will result in a better S/N ratio, frequency range, earphones and a navigation system which allows him to search for a specific song among 4Gb of files... actually this phone's navigation system is even better than iPod's click wheel...
                                If it's difficult to understand this, just imagine this is not a phone equiped wiv a mp3 player... but a mp3 player which allows you to makes calls and send sms... MAYBE this phone is actually designed to compete with iPods...


                                hmm, 4Gb Hdd in the N91... not interested... do you know how to kill a nokia?? Drop a N91 while u're standing "and ull know how" ;)... i know that a phone is not designed to be thrown, but a HDD phone is really risky... very fragile and needs too much energy to run... Flash memory are much better... 16Gb flash equiped devices(iPods) will be available on the market before 2Q 2007...
                                But dnt Know wever W950 will use flash or HDD... Hope SE has made the right choice...

                                  I dont see why people are moaning about no camera WiFi blah blah. Its a Walkman with 4 gig! Not everyone wants a camera and the world on the phone. People just expect everything these days, The handset is amazing and I will certainly be getting one and I a willing to pay for it. Unlike some people who want the latest and greatest for Nowt.

                                      hey ya ak47z, haven't u seen that on the left side of the phone there is a button which rotates and replaces tha "arrows" and you can acces the menu with the pen! you all shouldn't mark this phone with a big red X...i like it and i will surely buy it...i have a k750i and i am very happy...bezt phone....SONY ERICSSON RULLLLZZZ!!!

                                        hey i am writing this in reply of ur post about that ipod thingie.the main thing is that sony ericsson could have easily released a phone with all these features AND a 2mp camera.look at the nokia n91 and ull know how, it also has 4gigs hard disk,all these features even wifi and edge and a 2mp camera.Now that is ultimate. I am not saying that this phone is not worth buying, i am only saying that there is no need of ridiculing nokia cuz in my opinion nokia is still much better it has proven it time and time again and really rocks!!!
