u really need to keep the price low
as it is it would compete wid n90 and n80

i think se has recruited nokia engineers.hence this missing features in w950 and m600.also till se with sony's music backing cannot put twin stereo speakers but motorola &samsung can do.

I've been hearing ppl complaint about this handset for not having camera and i really sick of it. GUYS!!! OPEN YOUR EYES!!!
THIS is the HANDSET of the FUTURE. Sony ericsson is trying to open a new way of style of a phone can have. They are not following the nokia path because they know that it will not be worth the effort. If you looked into details at the sony ericsson phones:
W950 music phone, 4GB memory
M600 non music phone, 80 MB memory
similar design, the first without memory card and latter support memory stick. No camera. Compare to MOST of the nokia phone: they featuring camera, except those of the 6233 and 6234.
Look into the real meaning behind SE of WHY they release the smartphone without camera. THINK GUYS!! Use your BRAIN!! don't just go and say NO CAMERA and I AM DISSAPOINTED!! bla bla bla... This kind of thinking is just not mature at all. Let me explain it to you:
This phone features symbian OS 9.1 UIQ 3.0, which is the latest version of the symbian phone. So far, SE only release the P series for their only symbian phone and it will be of the best quality. This time, they are trying to provide symbian phone for more users: those who like music and those who aren't. Thus, W950 and M600.
Think about it. Ipod video has no camera.. anyone complaint? so why you guys complaining this W950 that is definitely better than Ipod video? look... Symbian, 3G (which means you can download music with faster speed), video, and all the features that Ipod video has plus Website browser.
After all, this phone is meant for those who loves music and this device is meant to be the rival of the video Ipod, not only N91 and Samsung P310 or watever the name is.
If you guys can realise, SE is opening the gate for future already.
PS: for those who are musicians i can put it this way: Nokia is Wagner (who claims to open the gate of the future and brings the technology into its height, but in the end they only close the past door). Sony Ericsson is Debussy (who just being calm and not so ambissious--pls correct me if the speling is wrong--but then he creates a new style that opens the gate of future)

pls help... After producing such amazing phones (T610 & K750 & W800 & P910 & etc...) i dont understand what is wrong with SE, why are they trying to dump a big piece of S**T on to our face with just nothing in it, what's the use of 4GB & Touch screen, with out a camera, hey man i am a Die Heart fan of SE, help awaited...

It is the best cell made by Sony Ericsson its fine that its dosent have camera but its price should not be more than $400 because of its 4 GB memory if its price will more than $400 than nokia N91 will more sucessful than it so i request S E to not make it so much expensive I will buy it first day when it will launched by S e...

For everyone who believes 3G is ONLY for video calling, is sadly mistaken. 3G is a technology to transfer at greater data rates, that includes high resolution pictures, music, and yes, video. While the technology can support video calling, it doesn't mean it should be the dominant service and that every phone should have a camera. There is always a risk when it comes to features with a phone. If a camera was added to this phone, I'm pretty sure the memory would be lowered, and touch screen might be taken out just to support it.
*Video calling is actually a SMALLER FRACTION of all services with 3G networks, while the biggest service is MUSIC downloads.

To ALl You LOT MOANING about the camera, it is not been finalised so there is no information on it, i mean think about it 3G without video calling lol and 4GB with no photos or videos

the phone is so great. large data storage but one thing is lacking the camera. its very important to have mobile phone in every places you go so as camera to capture once in lifetime memories when u travel.. hope someday this type of phone would be equip with camera.

it's obvious camera phones don't match up to digital cameras in picture quality... but most people use camera phones to take quick shots when they're out and just want a simple picture of something... surely even a low quality camera could have been included in this phone, at the least? it doesn't have to be a GREAT camera necessarily, but to not have even a half decent one is a slight let down, i must admit

This model is not having camera,its okay,it doesnt matters.The features are also preety good plus its a smartphone.But its price is f****.Its going to be more than 600 euros.So according to the price,this phone is not that great.

i own an w800i now...very happy user! regarding this new model...hmmm..?? looks good...but if it has 3G where's the camera guys?!
did u forget about it? some people need it for video calling...the main purpose of 3g technology..I am waiting for the w950i or w960i version that includes a camera...sorry for the bare truth :)

wow....so many people are complaining about the camera..camera or no camera.. i personally think it's a great phone...course it's always good to have camera on a phone...but just think how f*** expensive this phone will be...n i seriousli doubt it'll be a good phone with everythin rolled into 1 anyways....would u rather have half finished products in 1...or just spend some extra buck and get a actual decent camera/cam corder....and I read in the newspaper the other day that by 2007, cell phone components wil be soo much cheaper comparing to now...so just wait for another year or something...pretty sure Sony will come up with a lot better product with a reasonable price too....but for now...i'm satisficed with w950....Any1 know when it's coming out thou???..

hey guyss.. why all of you love to have a camera phone? i think this handset is a stellar handset, well, i dun mind without camera. All of the camera phone after all cannot be compared to the real digital camera, and that is full stop, unless they started to release the camera with a proper CCD sensor or proper CMOS sensoer, otherwise, it will be the same

Hello, some jobs in the world required a handphone without a camera, do you know that? Example I am working in Malaysia Defence technology and my work area demanded NO CAMERA PHONE ALLOWED. That's the reason why phones without camera is still a must to the market. If all the phone is produce with a cam, how the hell could people like me call back home and tell my kids I am coming home. All things in the world have their purpose and this phone purpose is for people like me. Okay!?
