AnonD-99387, 20 May 2013downgrade to build no .42 and root it via zergush methodsorry may friend i really dont know how to downgrade it.. because i downgraded this from ICS to current from the service center..and it takes days and money..

AnonD-145283, 14 May 2013I have used this phone for about 9 months (brought on Augus... mores its absolutly rite ..i too used many custom roms...now i am using 2.3.7 gingerbread...very very fast always 200 mb ram free nearly i installed 250 to 300 apps including the hd games...i removed lots of unwanted system apps..still i am having 300mb internel..before that i used 4.1.2jelly bean..ui is nice in jelly bean but scrolling speed suks in ics and jb for normal user they can use that rom..to install more apps and hd games definetly gb ver very very smooth in all aspects..
battery backup stands for me 2 days for normal usage like wen i am going to office in morning time i used to hear songs as well as play games for 45 min apprxmte then i check mail and surfing in breaks..just 5 mintues..then same in evening returning to home...battery back up more or less equall both in gb and ics and jb

sure buddy..see once u partitioned ur sd card..then u should install link2sd then only that sdext2 will mounted to ur phone...then in settings u should check the autolink option then after all apk file which ur going to install will directly moved to that portion....main advantage is full apk file will moved..still i am having 300mb internel free and i installed nearly 250 apks without any lagg..hd games runs smoothly shadow gun and so and soo....always 200 mb ram free i am using custom rom...awesome display clour contrast...awesome design lots of accesories stylish back panels ...simple so compact so stylish battery backup stands for me minimum 2 days..

I have used this phone for about 9 months (brought on August 2012)
What i can say is i have put many custom ROMs on it and most of them are buggy than the stock ROM. This includes GB and ICS version. So if you dont mind about the bugs you might encounter, you can go ahead and try those custom ROMs.
Advantages of GB and ICS (based on experience)
Advantages of GB
-definitely faster and smoother UI(User Interface) than ICS
-faster camera capture and preview
-Video recording is faster and smoother( no laggish feel)
-Games runs well and smoothly
-most apps runs faster
-Overall performance is better
Advantages of ICS
-Great battery life(about 2-2.5 day of normal usage)
-Refreshed UI look
-Smart dialing available
-Easier to root
-More custom ROMs available
-Better signal reception (GSM, HSDPA and Wifi)
-Better screen lock
-Abit more free internal storage space
-Overall better battery life than GB
My phone dropped on a hard surface many times but it managed to survive until today.(but dont try it on purpose)
All in all, i prefer ICS than GB because i used this phone mainly for texting, calling, browsing, watching videos and i love the battery life of ICS.
You decide which one is the best for you. Not by following other people's thoughts.

Mulay, 24 Apr 2013Is ther someone out there using Xperia neo with SI 1249-5... moredude i have upgraded my sony ericsson neo frm android gingerbread to the new ICS 4.0. u can install sony pc suite & upgrade it via the pc software. but just wanna warn u that the phone will start to lag a lot. & high Def games wnt play smoothly & e1 the menu vl work slowly.. it's just a gimmik. now it's your choice. :)

in the specifications it's written that this phone can be upgraded to the new Android ICS4.0 from the old Gingerbread. but just would like to say that Android ICS doesnt work properly & hangs the phone frequently. & even the processor & RAM is too low for any high quality games. the phone lags a lot. only the camera is of an awsome quality.

ahmedzxxxz, 29 Apr 2013mona, i have this phone it's awesome in camera quality and... moreroot your phone instal link2sd and partion ur sdcard ..thats it nearly i installed 350 apps with no lag in 2.3.4..ics is slow...it is the best phone ..wats theuse of dualcore quad core..all games and apps are working smooth..compare with latest s duos..neo is best...shadow gun specialized for quad core thats too working andall hd games run smoothly..awesome colour contrast if u disable auto brightness..phone is always bright...neo neo neo...awesome perfmce..

It was a Wonderful mobile which i have ever used. No other models can replace this mobile at this Rate in Indian market. Sad it is stopped already. Hence am lucky. i have HDMI port to connect TV, it was awesome to see videos/Photos on 32" TV. 3G data connection, Good Sound Quality, 8MP camera, does anything else needed?? only cons is that 512 mb RAM. it satisfies me.. Good luck guys.
