          Good afternoon

I bought the phone two years ago, I sometimes struggle to page on the number pad when I page down from the screen pad and my battery finish quickly after paging through, e.g. Whatsup, Web browsing.

          Regards

william, 08 Dec 2013how can you update the andriod market to play store on this... moreyou should have an updated android on your phone, so the market should update itself
if it doesn't, you can get it here:

                                http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2227787

if you have an outdated phone, updating to google play wont do you any good, since most apps will NOT be compatible, so its good idea to keep the phone updated

newcomers, 30 Nov 2013will you please teach me how to root n intsall custom rom, ... moresecond repost:

if you did choose the rom i recommend then keep in mind this:

once you get to this step:
                                    Download the Ungaze_v4b5.zip (http://d-h.st/dd2)
                                    - place on sdcard (don't extract it)
                                    - go to recovery mode
                                    - mount system,data,cache,sdcard,sd-ext
                                    - flash the ungaze
                                    - Reboot (first boot will take ~2 mins)

if you get stuck, and the phone doesn't boot, DO NOT WORRY, start again step by step, BUT, once you have a partitioned SD and flashed the GAPPS, restart your phone, and let it boot completely, configure your account, and then reboot on recovery/CWM, and now complete the installation:

                                    Download the Ungaze_v4b5.zip (http://d-h.st/dd2)
                                    - place on sdcard (don't extract it)
                                    - go to recovery mode
                                    - mount system,data,cache,sdcard,sd-ext
                                    - flash the ungaze
                                    - Reboot (first boot will take ~2 mins)

ONLY DO THAT IF YOUR PHONE DOESN'T BOOT FOLLOWING THE STEPS AS STATED TON THE FORUM PAGE.

once the phone has booted after a complete installation,
                                    go to settings, then
                                    go to performance, then
                                    go to memory management, then
go to A2SD settings, here tap available modes, and select a2sd, reboot your phone
now, once your phone has booted go to settings and tap storage, internal storage should show more than 128 MB this means it is using the SD partition as internal storage.
if all has been done right, congrats now you have an updated phone.

you can also backup your entire system, simply boot on recovery, go to backup and create a backup, now if you mess your phone or install malware, simply boot on recovery and go to backup, and restore your previous backup, this is a very helpful tool, do this after you have your phone working

for performance settings, i recommend this:
after you phone is completely working, reboot it,
                                    go to settings,
                                    go to performance,
                                    here check "disable boot animation"
                                    check "16 bit transparency"
                                    tap memory management
                                    check "allow purging of assets"
                                    check "kernel samepage merging"
                                    go back to earlier menu,
tap processor, here, set cpu governor to SMARTASSV2
                                    minimum cpu frequency: 245mhz
                                    Maximum cpu frequency: 748 mhz
                                    set on boot Check!
                                    now reboot your phone.
let it reboot for a while (about 2 minutes), do not touch it or do anything, after the 2 mins then check if the phone how is the phone working, if it was all successful, backup your phone.
                                    enjoy

as always you do this on your own, it is your phone and you are responsibly for it

newcomers, 30 Nov 2013will you please teach me how to root n intsall custom rom, ... morethis is a repost of a reply to another user:

the last update sony-ericsson released was more than a year ago, so to update/upgrade your android you will need to install a custom rom.
in order to do this you will need to download a new kernel, download the custom rom, download gapps (this is the google apps) download a flashtool, and once you have all that it goes like this
                                      1) root your device (usually with flashtool)
                                      then
                                      2) unlock bootloader (usually with flashtool)
                                      then
                                      3) install the new kernel (usually with flashtool)
                                      then
                                      4) copy the rom on the micro sd (you copy a zip folder)
                                      then
                                      5) boot your phone on recovery CWM (this is, as soon as you turn it on, press the "back" button repeatedly, you will enter a menu, that menu is called recovery/ CWM)
                                      then
                                      6) wipe memory, factory restore, and then install the rom, and then the gapps (all within recovery)
                                      then boot your phone
it will take long, my advice is, leave it boot for about 5 mins before you do anything, then you can configure everything, as soon as you have configured your google account, reboot your phone!, then you can start using it as usual

so as you want an updated phone i recommend this:

                                      http://forum.xda-developers.co...hp ?t=2416124

                                      reasons:
you will be able to use a microSD partition to store system files, so the phone will tell you it has about 1GB internal memory (depending on how big you make the partition)
and you can move apps to SD, so you will keep the memory free, apps on SD wont load unless you open them making the phone more responsive even if you have a lot of stuff installed.

anyways you can use any of the other roms there
as always you do this on your own, and you are responsible for your device
