I really sad because when I tilted my X2 to see the upper limit of the display, I saw leakage of some light near 3g camera as display not fit well in its place...
Does any one experience this???

sony ericsson indeed have very durable and high quality products that can live with you for years! If your a little clumsy and you drop your phones by accident sometimes, I think SE is really a good choice for you since the built quality is very impressive.
I really don't care if some people think I'm promoting se products, because I have experienced nokia, se, htc, samsung phones and I'm convinced that SE offers one of the best quality materials for their phones.
However, since your new with se, maybe it would not be a good idea to begin with a windows mobile device, since windows mobile devices may give you some headache specially if you have never experienced such phones.

Cons :
1- sms bug ( the ring tone cuts off while in standby mode, meaning you won't hear the complete ring tone)
2- Sometimes the phones go crazy and erase all your memorycard data! However, you could easily prevent this by installing the sdcard fix which is available on the web for free)
3- since your using a windows mobile os, than you must expect the lag and crushes that will come a long, it's a windows curse that no one can avoid, however, in the case of the phone it's not terrible, and I assure you that it only happens once in a while.
4- Video recording quality is poor, and it seems there is a problem with it.
Pros :
1- very good looking device, made of a brilliant high quality material.
2- the 8MP camera is a blessing and you best you can get on a windows mobile phone.
3- Keyboard in one word (Wow), the best keyboard I used till date, if you like typing/texting a lot like me, you will find it very useful indeed.
4- gorgeous TFT(LCD) screen and one of the best LCD screens you could find in the mobile industry.
5- Very fast browsing internet experience and after the update the touch screen is more responsive and more user friendly since all the icons are bigger now.

SE 2010, 15 Nov 2010 I think you may still get such features via third parties... moreD man as I was going through the phone shortly after i answered you, i found the smart dailing feature. you only need to scroll up the while your phone contacts is at the beginning and a key board will come out. just type anything on the key board and the phone finds it automatically. X2 is the bomb!!!!!!

I think you may still get such features via third parties... moreThanks so much SE 2010....I like the phone rite from onset and i have being following this forum before i finally purchased it.I think SE removed the handwritting recognition bcos the phone possesses the best keyboard i have ever seen in a mobile. Cheers men i will make do with wot i have and as for the speed it is quite commendable.lets hope MR3 is on the way.....lol. For the smart dailing, if u come across any software, dont forget to let me know....

Personally, I think it's time to give android a try after using both the X1 and X2 for almost 2 years now :)
I honestly love them both, and they worked pretty well with me. But change and experience is also more healthy.
However, I'll keep my eyes open in case any new stuff comes in about the new wp7 series for se phones.

Hi Mohammed,
Unfortunately my friend these are some of the bugs that I never could fix, so eventually I just learned to live with them :)
One of the things that I found useful though is to choose a higher personal ringtone for the message and also extend the time of the standby mode, to prevent any cut offs of the sms ringtone.
If SE released MR3 this item would be perfect! Too bad it seems they will stop with MR2, yet MR2 is not that bad after all :>

Just be sure to download the sdfix card in order to prevent your memory card to be erased, and your ready to go.
Moreover, don't forget to download some cool apps and games from the playnow arena and also the market that will be available on your phone :>

Hey Ray,
Even with using the internet and installing apps you will still get decent speed on this phone, I assure you of that.
Since you have done your research then you're expecting some problems but nothing major or nothing that will make this phone unusable. All you need is some patience to get used to it, and if you have it then it's worth a shot and I'm sure you'll love it in no time.

I'm thinking about getting this phone now despite the fact the x2 has been released for quite some time. I've done a lot of research and the only thing that has been bugging me is the amount of complaints I see on the speed considering the low processor speed. If I were to get one and basically use no internet or apps, would the phone run at a decent speed?

I think you may still get such features via third parties that offer similar applications for this purpose. However, I can't help you on this one since I never used or cared about these features.
MR2 made the device faster, more responsive and more user friendly and I believe this is more important for the users.
Hope you find what your looking for, otherwise don't be sad because trust me the device is so much better with MR2 then MR1 :)

Hey man! Long time no see :)
It's very nice to see you again my friend, I'm doing well and I hope your doing great as well.
Regarding the X7 I think it's real, maybe it won't have all the features included in this advertisement but I'm sure it will have some of them for sure. The phone is supposed to be released in q1, however, nothing is for sure since SE still didn't announce anything about the phone or it's specs.
There is something really good happening to SE which is that they are not doing the same mistakes they used to do which is announcing a device very early and then releasing it very late! So I think this is for our main advantage.
Considering Nokia E7, honestly I lost my interest when I knew that the camera even doesn't have an auto focus feature! Come on advertising for a 8mp camera + HD recording device that doesn't even have a simple feature like auto focus in it's camera, hmmm well not nice :)

Hi there :)
When you update your phone through SEUS ( Sony Ericsson Update Service) it will download the latest software directly, so it will skip MR1 and therefore you will only need to download it once ( MR2)
Also, I noticed that if you buy a new X2 the MR2 will already be included, I really like the fact that SE keeps their phones up to date.
