Wifi does not work in my set though it shows that it is connected.Any advice?

Now those people will realize that what I said true, and they were been misguided here to market and sell this outdated old product, All there hopes gone,money wasted in vain.All those people shouting here have

I loved t... moreThanks man but its actually just common sense, I also prefer to skip on the manufacturer's warranty w/c jack up the price by more than 25% on their high end models & instead settle for service/shop warranty only since factory defects are rare but hey, that's just my opinion, don't know if that's a wise decision but so far it has worked in my favor. Actually, it depends on how its used so I dont encourage anyone to opt for a service/shop/non-warranty unit. I spend the 25% I saved on accessories such as bluetooth headsets (MW600 or HBH-IS800), leather cases...etc. Frankly speaking, I dont own an X2 yet, been aching to buy 1 since may this yr but was deterred by the hordes of negative reviews. A friend told me to just ignore the reviews & just get what I wanted, but 95% of the reviews I read were negative, that's not easy to ignore. There must be some truth to it so I decided to ask X2 users here for their opinion & I thank all the X2 users here for it. :-) MR3 will make me decide whether to buy an X2 or not but while waiting for MR3, I'll get myself an X10, the delayed update is just a minor issue for me, it will eventually come soon. Hope you will find joy in the next device you decide to own. :-)

The equation below means SE as a maker of smartphones is backed by 2 companies who have a solid background/years of experience in making computers & cellphones, the 2 components of a smartphone. :-)

X11 specs (rumoured):

•Windows Phone 7
•Qualcomm 1.2GHz Processor
•Slider form factor (probably similar to X1 and X2)

X12 specs (rumoured, codename:CLIARO):

•Android 2.2 (possibly Gingerbread)
•4.0″ AMOLED (720p resolution)
•TI OMAP 1.5GHz processor
•12.2MP Camera (no mention of flash type)
•1080p HD video recording
•Similar design to the current X10 i.e. no sliding bits, slim candybar but 3mm slimmer
•Announcement early November
•International release January 14th 2011

Take these rumours with a pinch of salt. It’s rare that rumours are 100% true and many spec leaks from Sony Ericsson in the past have been downgraded on the production models for release.

Your wise u know that! I should learn from you. I loved the double gain theory! I think it's great and it makes total sense.

waiting for a device for a while will indeed make it cheaper in the future and also since se always update their software, I believe you will get it bug free.

By the way I loved your final equations, they were interesting hehe. So what's your next plan? Getting the X2 or what do you have in mind.

You just need to weigh their good from their bad just like every device has its pros & cons. I've been an SE user for several yrs already & so far have not experienced any major software flaws in their devices except for the P990 which was resolved after just 1 update, I didnt even bother to further update it to its latest firmware. The reason I have not experienced any software flaws was because I often bought my devices after its been released for several months already, I reckoned by this time all software kinks would have been ironed out already and as a welcome bonus the price would have gone down significantly. Double Gain!!! You get a much cheaper & bug free phone. :-) I think X2 is an isolated case coz even at this late stage, issues still remained, a sign that SE was having a hard time fixing these issues. I'm glad to be proven wrong though, hope they find a solution soon & release an MR3 update. :-)

PC + CP = Smartphone
Sony (PC maker) + Ericsson (CP maker) = SE (Smartphone maker) :-D

take HTC for example.. bad design, but up to date hardware. they know what the young ppls like us wants fast.... thats one thing SE lacks in its products.. well... software too.. SE is always wow in the outside.. oh... ummm in the inside

i hope my next SE winmo phone will be wow in and out

hehe it's true :)

I guess maybe it's a sin to be attracted to the looks and forget what's most important which is the inside :>

But still the x2 also have some very good stuff in it and so does my gf :P

nothing is perfect I guess. Anyway, back to the subject, I think it's true that the x2 had a fair share of bugs, however, I also believe that se released some handsets that were buggy as well. However, the good think about se is that they really fix any issues with several updates. Unlike other companies that never release any updates no matter how buggy their handsets are!

And when it comes to hardware I also think that SE is considered one of the top notch manufactures. They indeed have brilliant hardware.

I could not agree with you more when it comes to design, SE's tops! :-)IMHO, X2 & X10 are both captivatingly beautiful, no wonder many still fell for the X2 despite its known software issues. Not that concerned though regarding SE's software. I think X2 is an isolated case. Its simply hardware not able to meet the minimum requirements demanded by the software. Winmo 6.5x is like Vista, running these OSs alone already eats up a lot of resources. If only SE offers users the option of choosing which OS (SE supports winmo, symbian & android) they want installed on their X2 then problem solved & they could be the 1st mobile company to give users such option. :-) As for now, MR3 is our only hope. :-(

I see the X2 has some sentimental values to you, I'm sorry to hear about your gf. :-( ..........It could be a blessing in disguise, at least you found out about her flaws before she becomes Mrs. SE 2010. :-)

i just bought X2 a week ago..i really have a problem charging this phone..it would take 6 hours for a full charge and the battery drains easily, OMG!..help!

And it's true that the xperia series ( x1 - x2 - x10) are very

elegant indeed, I think when it comes to looks no one can beat

sony. My only concern is that they need working harder on

their software issues.

PS: Average joe + redx I also still love my x2 even though it brakes

my heart sometimes, as I asserted before the x2 reminds me of my

gf :P

So I don't expect any more updates coming in our way with regards to the MR3 which we all were hoping for.. They actually can prove me wrong about this by releasing the MR3, but lets face it.. With every passing day it becomes more & more unlikely..

Anyway with or without the MR3, I'm still gonna use this phone.. Its still better than the previous handsets I own..

P.S.- I love my X2 as well.. Come on, its not as bad as everyone makes me feel it is :)

I don't think SE ppl gonna rollout anymore upgrade to X2 now..They are focusing more on android and now may be on WP7..Unfortunately X2 is not having hardware which can support WP7..but I love my X2 .. still :)

Guess this is human nature, we tend to judge things based on what we can easily see and that's the external facade. This applies not just to material things but to people as well that's why divorces are common. :-) Phone companies sure know how to exploit this, remember Nokia's 88xx series some years back, all models from this series have 3 things in common: very expensive & surely overpriced, attractive shiny metallic exteriors and mediocre features. Yet a lot of people still fall for it & complaints came soon afterward. :-( As for SE, I sure hope they give X2 users the much needed MR3 update as this would be the only saving grace for SE's X2, otherwise X2 divorces will be rampant! IMHO...hehe...:-D
