thanx... i hope its not an exagerated estimate
how long does it take to charge from 0 to a 100%...
n i notice its battery capacity seems to be lower than most other SE phones (750mah)is it possible to change it to a 900mah or somethin(if ever required). n also i need to know if its ring is loud enough? (compared to a k750 or somethin like that)

      To bala:

      Z550i does not support AD2P.

There is no greeting message, but you can customize the start-up graphic with any pictures, including animated ones.

Your voice mail question had already been answered by me 2 messages before you posted.

This thread is very informative so I recommend anybody interested in Z550i to read through all the pages if you are really interested in the phone.

I will still be retaining my photo samples page for a while so anybody interested in the quality of Z550i's camera can have a look at:

        hi sorry for the late replies ;
        - i've tried the k750 games, software, ringtones, themes with the z550 and they all worked
        - because of the "http" suffix in front of the links i can't paste the linkes to the pics in the forum as they'll link back to this page so anyone who is interested in pictures of the phone message me at; just_ceciliahs@hotmail.com and i'll send you the pictures
        - the z550 is a nice phone, great easy menu setting. i recommend it if you like flip phones
        - the display is truly great, very clear bright and sharp.
        - battery is average, pretty good and bluetooth is great
        - memory can be expanded with memory stick micro (m2) but they're quite expensive atm as only sony make them

          Hello, i have a question.
Can you use voice recordings as ringtones? Also, does it have a greeting message? Can you customise it?

              To newbie:

I use the phone 10 minutes a day and send about 20 sms a day. When I first bought the phone, it could last about 3 days if I don't fiddle with the multimedia features and games too much.

Now after 1 month, I am quite happy to report that my phone can last for 4 days quite easily and even 5 days if I am lucky.

              --

              To (no name):

You do can use the voice recording as either the ringtone or message tone.

              --

              To Murali:

When the phone is ringing, press either of the volume buttons once to silence the ringtone. Press either of the volume buttons again and the call will be rejected.

svarionman, I think that it really depends on what you want to do with the phone. The K750 has a better camera, but that's about it. The Z550 has a better media player, screen, interface (an upgraded one) and best of all, no joystick!

Do you think that for an everyday use is better the z550 or the k750?

                        Thank you

i just bought this phone last week at Vodafone. (im in Australia) and it's great. the design is stylish, its compact and lightweight and the camera is great ! when you close the phone, it does go back to the main screen. at first i thought the speaker phone and volume weren't that good and then i realised you could adjust it with the volume button (dumb me) i tested out the camera almost straight away and it took crisp clear pictures, even at night in nightmode. the best thing i'm enjoying so far is the themes, they are totally 100% downloaded and customizable. (you can get them off the net on different sites) the sony ericsson z550i is compatible with most k750 accessories and software which is easy to find. i suggest getting a bluetooth adaptor for your pc as it makes it easier to tranfer data (your phone could be across the room and it'd still recieve the data). here's some pictures of my phone as thanks for all the information everyone has shared about the z550i ! so i knew what i was buying ! :)

I got my z550i last night, wow, much better than the z530i that I previously owned. I am also using a Nokia 6125 as a primary phone. To me, the Nokia 6125 is more user-friendly than the z550i and the keypad is much better to use for a quick SMS. But I love the design and the screen of z550i. Z550i is slimmer than the Nokia 6125, slightly smaller in size and slightly lighter in weight.

I am located in Australia, so this z550i is an Australian version (Aust stock), but made in China....

i just bought this phone, and its terrific xD, but there is that annoying part where, when you close the phone the thing you were doing is still on. It won't go back to the main page or whatever its called. Yes it has FM radio, but only when you plug in the headset, or if you plug it in, you can turn it on speaker and plug it off. The themes are cool the background pictures moves! the camera has way better quality then any samsung phone i have used in the past. Speakers are on the back of the phone-just to say. Er, any thing i can answer? i have the phone...xD so i can look things up for all of you...

Yes it is possible to sync with the Pc using bluetooth. If your gonna use for data transfer only. I dont know if it's possible if you're gonna install applications using bluetooth haven't tried it yet.
