the number (if not in your contacts) or name if in your contacts will show on the lcd when your phone rings so does the text message if the number is in your phone it will say its from them.

I bought it a week ago and I am very pleased!!! It has a perfect design, great features, and a very good sound.
I really felt in love with this phone and I recommend it to everyone, though I think it's more a 'girl thing'...

Yes, I read that. But does it mean that if I am receiving a call the number would appear on the flip too.

yes if you read down a few comments it says you can press the voloum key on the outside to relight the lcd

yes it has speaker. i think the black colour is def ok for a bloke cause even the keypad is black

Not sure the plans to release this phone for the States, Im sure they will, but by the time they get round to doing so a newer version will be made available.

does anyone know if they are going to release a z610a for the Americas? we have umts and hsdpa here in the states with cingular and it would be nice to get some nice phones over here.

i have just discovered something Great about this phone. when the phone is shut & the display has disapeared, if you press the outside volume up & down key the display shows up again, so thats solved the problem of always having to open to see if you have any missed calls etc, you can even see the time when pressed. GREAT

the phone will come with handsfree but no bluetooth, I'm not 100% sure if the phone scrathes easily, but it does look delcate,

i got this phone yest in pink & its great, the finger prints are not that bad & a wipe with your t-shirt soon sorts them out. the outside is harder than you think i have already dropped mine & no chips or scrathes on it (thank god).very loud ringing tune of which you can use your own music, the camera seems good. people are commenting on the display disappearing so you have to open phone to check for messages or missed calls, i had the nokia 6131 & cause it had a key lock which set after phone has been shut for 1 min you still had to open to check if you had any messages or missed calls. so far am very pleased with this phone.

"wooow my phone has shiny PLASTIC cover on front of it!" come on, this crap is so ugly. Samsung has the best design now, but it wont take long time till nokia will launch their "fashion-ultra-thin-metal"-phones and im sure that those will be the top phones then.

I love this phone very much.. loud ringing tone.. (I use to set up to level 8 for z530i) but for this phone level 4 is loud enough for me...
But the external front catches fingerprints easily...
Overall.. I would give 8 stars out of 10..

The phone does have a call log. It logs the following:
outgoing calls
incoming calls
missed calls
total talk time
messages recieved
messages outgoing
total messages
total kb downloaded
