Hey, can this phone use MP3 files as its message alert tone? if not, can we upgrade the version of the OS installe din this phone to enable it to do so?

may i know some thing ? is that the Z800 battery so fast finsh when my freind use Z800 to play MP3 ?

Im not sure how many ppl you can store in the phone book, probably either 500 or 1000. each of those has up to 11 fields you can add though, so yes, multiple numbers for one entry. the phone is awesome, i love it and defiantely recommend it!!! i would only change it so that i could have a custom message tone... im only limited to the 6 sony ericsson give me... other than that it scores very very highly for me, no problems at all

guys i wanted to know. The part under were it writes Sony ericsson (were the quick share logo is) does it come off so you can change the cover?

can i know how nice is this phone? because i think of changing my 6630 to either 6680 or z800 because both cost almost the same. so any z800 user can share ur feeling after using this phone

im using a sandisk pro 256mb its working great... and the z800 is expandable to 2g buddy.. the information here is wrong on the maximum size of what the z800 can hold..

Is it true that Z800i can b upgraded to the max. of 2G? Does anybody know is there any side effect if im using the non-original memory stick pro duo?pls help!

I am very happy with this phone - main usage is a cross-over between business and entertainment. Use it for a mix of game play, podcasts, and 3g content (news and streaming). The ability to load and run j2me apps is a big bonus. Synchs well with Outlook (calendar, contacts, to do). Still finding more and more features as I use it. Have been using the camera - works fine for a 1.3Mpixel and never intended it to be my primary camera. Chose this over a microsoft wm 2005 enabled phone - providing all the functions I need/want at half the price of an O2 Xda.

good phone but if u want good camera with loudest official loudspeaker and 3d games get k750i

i will give it a grade of 75%. i'm having problem with the camera and the sounds is not clear when i play an mp3 music.

hi isit the reception for this phone is bad?bcos my Z800i reception is poor esp. i put it in my pocket.when u take out n open the flip the network is full bar. but once u fold it the reception bcom poorer n worse.So any 1 could tell me is it this happend to u phone or it is normal?or my phone got reception problem?pls reply me i need u all ppl advise TQ very much

hy everybody i have a question : what should i choose between k750 , w600 and z800 . I'm interested in a good camera (k750) a good loud sound (w600) and new 3D games . i want to know if the sound in the w600 is really louder than the k750 and the z800 . i'm waiting for a reply..thanks

To Steve J (MP3 as ring tone)
I have no problem using MP3 files ripped by myself as ring tones. Connect the Z800i to your computer, open My Phones and click your way to Sony Ericsson Z800i\Phone memory\ Phone memory\Sound\ringtones (my translation from Swedish, may not be 100% correct) and copy the MP3 file to this directory. Then in the Z800i settings dialogue select the MP3 file as ring tone. ¥PF

I have the Z800i since June and I love it. The main display is great, the camera is great also, but I feel like the software is a step behind the new SE phones, K750 for instance. I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the software?

i agree, the camera isnt bad at all as far as the picture quality is concerned, the volume for the video playback might be what you were reffering to, its really low, so when u video record and talk you have to be a little loud, the phone is big, like the size of my dish remote and home telephone, but it doesnt bother me, it still looks great, looking to buy the memory card so i can store more songs soon..

bad camera?? wat kind of z800i do u have?? my camera was amazing... better than the 6630, 3230 and 7610... I can compare it with a k750i but k750 is better a bit...
but for a 1.3MP cam. its way better than I expect it to be :)
